I just answered this number and it was only a test of the NYS SUNY system.  My son goes to college in NY, and it was testing their emergency alert system.  If there ever is an emergency, they would have instructed on what the emergency is and what action needed to be taken.  In this day and age, I am happy to know that NY has an alert system in case another crazy goes in and s****s *****ing up my sons school.

This number is New York education emergency alerts. If you're getting these calls you probably signed up for alerts through your school's website. There seems to be some kind of glitch where they call you and don't say anything sometimes. Best thing to do is to c****e to text alerts, by logging in at the website where you registered, removing your phone number, and re-entering it in the SMS/text field instead.

I received (3) calls from 518-292-6644 on my cell phone.  Who is this?  When I call back it says the phone number is disconnected.

Who is it?

I have no idea either but I was woken up by that number AND 518-292-6634 this morning. 3 calls! I ignored each one but they kept calling. Annoying as*****.
