Received text from this number and they were threatening me. No clue who it is. Called the number and it is not in service

Edward I got a voice message from 518 721 4249, a woman in 20's said she is from Fidelity Debt Collectors., to call 805.477.7447 . Fidelity Creditor Service is in Ventura, has 2 offices, only in California. Why is someone calling from Claverack New York, claiming to be from California ?
