It is most likely because you contacted the Customer Care Centre at some point, and they are returning your call from their personal number, not the 1-800 number. I work in the call centre, and this is what happens.

If you no longer want to receive phone calls from UW, pick up the next time and call and say "I do not want to receive calls from UW anymore, take me off your phone list." That's the only way to get them to stop. If someone keeps calling you from UW and you have no affiliation, pick up the phone and tell them that you have never attended or donated to UW so that so they can erase your number from their system.Please keep in mind that these are students calling you. I worked there and can tell you all that the students do not enjoy disturbing people, they are just trying to pay the bills while they're in school.
