Financial powerhouse that it is....seriously???This clearly isn't ING although they are vainly trying to create the multi-national facade.They won't last long at this rate....any ****** can tell you that simply PLACING many phone calls does not yield many dollars...staff and office ****e cost money.As such, collections agencies come and go like ticks on a dog's ****. (In this ****ogy, the debtor would be the dog and the collector the ****-****er).By necessity they c****e names and phone numbers frequently. It is the only means by which to maintain commercial viability. The more frequently the debtor can identify the collector, the less effective the cat-and-mouse game becomes.It seems to me that even "unknown" and "s****ed" phone numbers have also become rather ineffective ploys. A lot of people simply rely on voicemail and number familiarity as opposed to answering their phone because it happened to ring.Maybe you guys should move into the current millenium and try so****ing on social networking...you know...."out" them....Given that these networks are ultimately used to ****** people's egos and tailor images, it would be a pretty effective way to garner your desired response. Nothing quite destroys a public image like financial issues...except maybe ***ual issues...

They can't collect on old debt that has passed the statute of limitations, DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS, if you do they can't ***** your credit for 6 years.  Just ignore those calls, let them waste their money coming after you when they don't have a legal leg to stand on!

I got two calls to my cell phone from this number - who are they and what are they looking for?

this number 519-963-8180 continues to call my house at least every other day with a pre-recorded message for someone who does not live at my number, and hasn't for at least the last 15 years, as that is how long I have had this number. I refuse to call it back, I have placed a trace on the number, and after a certain number of calls the police will now be handling the matter as I will be charging the company with harassment.

This number keeps calling my house.  I don't know  the number so i don't answer.   After checking here i'm perplexed, if it is a collection agency, i don't know why they would be calling me.   I don't owe anyone any money, whatsoever!!!!

Somehow these idiots got my cell #, I don't know how they got MY number to ask me for someone I don't know in some freakish sounding mechanical voice.  Only 2 businesses have my cell number and they are none that would have any connection to a (fake sounding) collection agency.  I'll be calling them tomorrow and telling them to remove my number from their call list or I'll be chasing them down with a threat to sue for harrassment.

Calls every week day around 11AM central asking for Jason J. No one by that name lives here. Has been happening for about a year.

Thank you to all for the info. i don't answer calls from #'s i don't know. The ******ed message about "Will be with you in a minute" don't mean nothing to me. They want so****ing put it in writing.If it aint in writing it don't exist.

Got a call from a lady claiming to be looking for some one with the same last name as mine. Asked how long i had the number. Made me wonder.

Let me give many of you some help: Aktiv Capital buys up old debt and then uses extreme ****ods to collect. BUT if you're being harassed by them, you have a weapon: "stat barred". It means that they cannot use the courts to get money from you after a two year period, unless you acknowledge to them that you owe them the money and/or make a payment on the debt.!!Once I found out, I knew the balance of power had c****ed! ****ay! it is aktiv capital. they claim i have an outstanding balance on an old credit card, they have been calling me for about 3 years now, threatening to sue me in court,Which they will never do, I don't owe them anything, the acc. number they give me and what i have do not match, last time the called me i told the rep to "f" off, bunch of spineless *******s! I am currently writing software for pc's that will block calls with a recorded message. I.E  if you block the number 1800 888 8888 and they call you they will be directed to a recorded message of your choosing. So when you get calls from prerecorded robots, your prerecorded robot will be there to answer and talk to their reps :DThey are going to annoy us with prerecorded calls we will do the same. These ****of*s called the wrong house when they called my house. This software will be 100% free and will be finished soon. You can block all 800 numbers or 888 exc... It will be called SKiDKiDS Call Blocker.
