They said they wanted to buy so****ing I was selling on Facebook marketplace. They offered to pay for it upfront before they picked it up and said they sent me the money through Venmo. But I didn’t receive any money. So they wanted me to call a number they provided “to get access to the money on Venmo.”

Caller stated I had a package to be delivered that had to be signed for and a delivery person would be over later that night. But no parcel service delivers that late and we haven't ordered any packages and have no reason to expect one. It sounds very su****ious and we don't want to be scammed or open ourselves up to a****entially dangerous situation. When I asked about the package or the company the caller had an at***ude. Can you please help?
