On 1/28/2010 I received a phone call from a man claiming they are opening a new carpet cleaning ***nch in North Idaho moving from Oregon and are doing a promotion to get new business.  The man claimed he would "get paid to clean two rooms of carpet" in exc****e for my opinion of the service.He went on to tell me the benefits of the product for pet owners, etc... He asked if we worked days or nights and then made an appt. for Sa****ay morning.  He made a point to ask if I would be alone or if my husband would be home with me.  I found this to be an odd question but let him know we would BOTH be home.  We scheduled for 10am.This morning, 1/30/2010, at 9:30am a man came to our home and when my husband answered the door, he insisted on speaking directly to me.  While he waited for me, he told my husband his company has fired multiple phone callers for failing to tell customers they are not a carpet shampoo company but rather an equipment seller.  He indicated they fired four callers yes****ay for telling people they would clean the outside of their windows which he says they also do not do.I let him know my husband had been up moving all our furniture into the garage since early this morning.  I asked for his card and he offered to give us a bag of powder for our inconvenience.  I then asked for his business card and informed him I would be calling the Better Business Bureau.  At that point, he became visibly shaky and said, "I am not giving you anything now and I am gettting out of here."  He then left.We saw him driving around our neighborhood and my husband took down his license plate number.
