Yes he did have a heavy accent, I had a hard time understanding him. I did have 1 loan that I paid off and I printed out the information showing a zero balance. This is just so annoying. I sent an e-mail to the BBB to see if there is a way to put in a complaint there too. I have also put compaints in a couple other spots

Linda,Did these people have heavy middle eastern accents? There is a scam going around for about 2 years now where they claim you owe on an old payday loan. If you ever took out or applied for a loan online, they have either stolen or bought your information.  They are al over these websites, different names and numbers but always the same story and threats.  They cannot arrast you, but they will tell you the police are on thier way.  They are scamers, don't give out your info to them and don't pay them.  Contact anyone you did have loand with and get letters that you have paid everything off. A person called me on my cell phone and my work number stated he was from Cyber Crime division, stated there was a affidavit a***nst me. Stated I took a loan from a company (could not give me the name)  he said the loan was for $200 or $300 and now if I do not pay 5848, there will be an officer at my home tomorrow. He told me to call back and talk to his supervisor, I tried calling the phone number back for 6 hours and it was busy, he would not give me any information.
