Potential S**** - Caller wanted to make a reservation with me for 10 people.

Dave I don't know about "spammer", but definitely a SCAMMER trolling Craig's List. They want you to respond via email so they will have your email address. That is not normally available on Craig's List. Craig's List provides an option to NOT receive text message. So when a text message is received, it is part of the scam.
