Caller ID just displayed "571-431-1844" - left no message but a return call identified the number as Merits Research - a market research data collection company- They indicated that they are exempt from the DNC list, as they are not a tellamarketing firm, but they DO have their own dont call list that you can add your number to by calling 800-864-8601.

I got the same call.  it is a research firm.  the can represent many companies.  i just took my range rover in for service and they were calling with a satisfaction survey.  they call after every service

I received a call from this # on my cell phone but didn't answer. We had rented a car from Enterprise the week before the call and that's the # I had given them.

The number seems to be from a customer satisfaction survey company that has several Rent-A-Car companies as clients.  If you have recently rented a car, you may get a call from them to conduct their survey

I just rented a vehicle from Enterprise and got a call from this number. They didn't leave a message.

It's a marketing firm that collects customer satisfaction data for businesses (i.e. Enterprise Rental Car company).  If you wish to be removed from their Do-Not-Call list, then call 1-800-864-8601 and leave your telephone number with the automated system.

Got to be Enterprise Rent-a-Car because I rented from them two days ago. i didn't answer the call but, I was curious who it was. Makes sense now after reading the above comments.

I am a regular Enterprise Car Rental company customer so and received a call display with this number. Must be whay y'all are saying about the survey.

Call identified themselves as "Merits Research". Am on no call list but they still called me. Best to just **** up and report them. Joe

Actually, it is Enterprise Rent A Car.  More specifically, a market research firm called Maritz that they hire to follow up with people who have rented.  It's quite harmless.  After about two attempts at rea****g you, they'll stop calling.

they called today on my cell phone the id says the call was from ******ia i lived in ca***a quebec so i anserd and a girl ask for me in french so i said wrong number cause i dont know who the***** are these people!!!

I, too, got a call on my cell (a registered Do Not Call #) from this number--around 8:00 p.m. tonight.  Since I was tea****g, I couldn't answer and quickly pulled out the phone and put it on silent.  No message was left.  When I got home, I researched the number and also learned it was supposingly a land line in Arlington VA.

I got a call from 5714311844 while I was talking to someone else on the phone.  Who ever it was, they did not leave a voice message.  I did rent a car 4 days ago from Alamo.

Pretty sure you are right about the rental.  I received a call earlier this evening and did not answer, but I did rent a vehicle from National (a sister-store to Enterprise) a few days ago.  A survey call would not surprise me.

but to note, I was not at the phone when the call came in, ha.

I got this and I'm pretty sure it's enterprise rental car, they told me I may receive a phone survey.

Got a call 1:38 PM CST March 21st, 2010. "Unknown caller" (so I didn't pick up). Lately I've received other calls like this from different numbers (374 and 301 area codes).

Name showed up on caller-id as "ENTERPRISE" - AND NO I don't think it's the rental car dealership.

We got a call 8:18 PM EST March 18th.

Got a call on my cell at 8:42 pm. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.Land Line, Washington VA

Got a call on my cellphone from that number at 7:53 pm EST. When I answered they ***g up.
