a legit spam

Received a message on a phone number that I only use for entering sweepstakes, I know it is not legit because no message was left. A legit company would (a) list the company they are calling from (b) leave a message and (c) direct you to the sweepstakes that you entered. Just another spam caller, will not return nor will I answer any of these calls. Thank goodness for this site and the other comments.

2nd time I received a call from this number at work, clearly a spam scam.

Called my work number! Didn't answer, didn't leave a message. Found nothing good about this number.

Left a vm. 5 seconds of static. Don't recognize the number so didn't return the call.

I emailed my cell number to a craigslist add for a car. I never give out my number much. They called a day later (this eve). I did not answer.I believe that is what happened. I don't get calls for days on end. I only answer number i know or look up first. They are getting smarter, making it sound like a local guy. Be careful.

Got a robocall at 12:29PM PST (my Seattle, WA work phone is unlisted). They left a 3 second voice mail of static.

Clearly a scam. They leave a silly message about an auto warranty. The call's final bounce uses a circuit in New Mexico. This is some group that's trying to defraud ****ers either by fooling them into buying some useless, overpriced insurance; or by duping them into giving out their private details, such as credit card, social security, etc. without actually providing any ****py product whatsoever. They may have gotten these phone numbers by buying a list of private info from a hospital employee, civil service worker, or whatever. Don't call them back. Just report them: To report phone fraud, visit FTC.gov or call 1-877-FTC-HELP. To report violations of the National Do Not Call Registry, visit DoNotCall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222. This number just called me and left no message it came up as unknown. I believe it is a spam call.

This number called me at 2 pm. Didn't answer because I didn't know the number. They left a message of pure static that was 2 seconds long

Called then back and it was a telemarketer!!!!

Annoyed by this phone call. I was still sleeping. Telemarketer how did you get my cell num.

I'm gonna say it's someone using some kind of automated system. He probably calls like 5 people at a time then the system just gives him the first person to answer, leaving nothing but static for the rest of us. Terrible terrible design idea.... MIGHT work on a large scale, but that's probably illegal. I didn't answer either. No voicemail. I love the internet.

Got a call at 11am on 7/02/13 and didn't answer. Left a white noise voice mail 4 seconds long...

They called me at 10:17 am this morning, i didnt answer because i didnt recognize the number. Left a 2 sec. voice mail of static.

Received a call at 4:00pm, I didn't answer because it was an unknown caller. They left a 5 sec. silence message. I just added the number to my contacts and have it under no ring and straight to voice mail.

Caller did not speak no sound on other end seems to happen a lot as per other posts

I answered and saying "hello" but no one reply, so I just ***g up.

I have a WA cell number. I have family in NM, but no one in Taos. I let it go to vm and the msg was 6 seconds of static.

Called twice, left no voice mail. I called the number back and it stated "you were contacted for telemarketing purposes, if you do not wish to continue receiving calls press any digit now" immediately followed by a **** up, before having the c****e to "press any digit"

Received a call on my cell 6/25/13 at 2:28pm. No one replied when i said*****o, so i stayed on the line for what seemed like 10 seconds. They ***g up. As I didn't recognize the number I made sure not to say my name when I answered.

Answered call, never heard anything on the other side. Call ended at 21 seconds (I waited as I looked up number).
