This number has called every night around 4:45 pm and around 2:30 pm the past two days. I won't answer because I don't know this number nor do I know or deal with anyone in Mexico so I let it go to voicemail and of course they don't leave a message.

sheldon This is strange I have had my cell phone for 2 years and have been lucky to never get wrong calls or calls like this. I only use the phone about 1 hour a month hardly used and I rarely give out the number. However, I am letting a friend parole out to my house and I received a call from a Federal parole agency ( I gave them my number to call) that needs to do a home inspection and right after the Feds called I started to get these type calls. I can not help that the calls are a way to hook our phones to the NSA or something like that. The message said, complete message, "If you want to stop these calls hit any digit on your phone" than it hung up. It seems like they needed me to hit a "digit" to do what they are doing. Another call said something about the Federal government says there is a home broken into every 3 min and then if you don't want these calls hit the number 2 on your phone. At any rate I never got these calls before the Federal parole people called me.

Mary 575-613-7471 is one of many phone numbers being used by crooks from India claiming to be calling from Microsoft computer security department. They have very heavy Indian or Pakistani accents. They say they received an alert that there were viruses or other computer problems. They know the name of one resident of my household. They probably got it from our outgoing voicemail. They are thieves and scammers. One guy told me he put me on their do not call list but they keep calling. I have resorted to calling them vile names and cursing them when they call. Unfortunately, I think they like the abuse because they keep calling. They need to drop dead.

Karin Received a message on a phone number that I only use for entering sweepstakes, I know it is not legit because no message was left. A legit company would (a) list the company they are calling from (b) leave a message and (c) direct you to the sweepstakes that you entered. Just another spam caller, will not return nor will I answer any of these calls. Thank goodness for this site and the other comments.

I emailed my cell number to a craigslist add for a car. I never give out my number much. They called a day later (this eve). I did not answer.I believe that is what happened. I don't get calls for days on end. I only answer number i know or look up first. They are getting smarter, making it sound like a local guy. Be careful.

Dustin D. Wind Clearly a scam. They leave a silly message about an auto warranty. The call's final bounce uses a circuit in New Mexico. This is some group that's trying to defraud suckers either by fooling them into buying some useless, overpriced insurance; or by duping them into giving out their private details, such as credit card, social security, etc. without actually providing any crappy product whatsoever. They may have gotten these phone numbers by buying a list of private info from a hospital employee, civil service worker, or whatever. Don't call them back. Just report them: To report phone fraud, visit FTC.gov or call 1-877-FTC-HELP. To report violations of the National Do Not Call Registry, visit DoNotCall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222. Stuck in a Ba*****t I'm gonna say it's someone using some kind of automated system. He probably calls like 5 people at a time then the system just gives him the first person to answer, leaving nothing but static for the rest of us. Terrible terrible design idea.... MIGHT work on a large scale, but that's probably illegal. I didn't answer either. No voicemail. I love the internet.
