Their recording says they are from the Department of Social Security. THEY ARE NOT. File any complaints with the Office of the Inspector General, Social Security Administration at https://oig.ssa.gov/. Use the link for reporting fraud.

Scam alert! Recorded message says, "Thank you. This call is from the Department of Social Security Administration. The reason you have recived this phone call from our department is to inform you that we just suspend [sic] your social security number because we found some su****ious activity, so if you want to know about this case just press 1. Thank you." I called the police in Madison, NH (the place appearing under the phone number) to report this, and they suggested I call the police department in my own county. My own police department couldn't hace cared less, saying these numbers c****e every day, and didn't even want the number to attempt to trace it, call them back, etc. Sadly, no one cares.
