This is a legitimate call from the CRA ask for a 800# to call back on if su****ious

Hey So I actually just called my dad. He said that the CRA does NOT make first contact with a phone call. They do letters first. Also, if you're from NB or NS they would call you from New Brunswick. If you're from PEI, NFLD, or some of Ontario I believe you're contacted from PEI. Quebec is contacted from Quebec. Before making any contact with those at the end of that number we suggest calling the CRA that deals with your region.

Hey I just got this call on my cell phone. Obviously with all this discrepency it can't be anything good. My ***her works with the CRA here in PEI so I may get him to check up on this. I didn't answer the phone because long distance even to New Brunswick costs me a lot on my cell phone. I figured it was a wrong number a***n. So I googled this and found all of this. I'm gonna get him to bring it to their attention.

Got call from this #. The caller ID is Govt of Ca***a. But no *****ge left.

Got a call from CRA concerning my year end date. would not give a number to call back. Contacted Service Ca***a said number does not exist. Put in complaint to recol.ca and phone busters

We got a call from this number who said her first name is shalu (her direct call is 604 587 2787). She made an appointment with me to come to my house at 1:00 pm February 12 (thursday) 2009 for some things regarding 2007 income tax return. Should I disclose my ID to her? what should I do to receive her?

got a call from this number and said they wanted to come to my house and talk to me...hhmmm asked if this was an audit or so****ing of that nature and they said no we are doing an outreach thing...will call back and say that i will meet at there place of business instead!

Got a call from this number today.  Woman said she was from Revenue Ca***a GST Compliance, and had accurate information about a business I ran a few years ago.  The callback number she left was 604-930-7477 which leads me to believe the 951-5660 number is a common switchboard line.

I also got a call from this number, with a woman leaving a message saying she was from Ca***a Revenue. I talked to her today, and she was calling because of some sort of discrepancy with my 2007 tax return, and just wanted me to grab my T4 forms to make sure everything was entered in and calculated correctly. I had to verify my birthdate and address, but when I wasn't willing to give my SIN over the phone, she asked for the first 3 digits, then gave me the middle 3 digits, to make sure she was talking to the right person. Specifically, she was calling from the Surrey Tax Centre.

I also got a call from this number today.  The caller identified herself as Roberta Craig - there is apparently some issue with my tax return but she would not discuss it further until I gave her my SIN number.  When I declined to give out this number, she told me I would receive a letter.

I also got a call from this number today. They told me there is a discrepancy with one of my T4s from last year. I'm not too sure what to make of it. The person I spoke to asked me to fax a copy of my T4 but the number he gave me doesn't match the fax number of the place he supposedly works.

That number is a generic number for Revenue Ca***a.  Could be anyone from Revenue Ca***a that is calling.  You can't call that number back.  Each phone there has a separate number so the number you see is generic.

Got this number calling me too, but left no message?!?

A woman calling herself "Roberta Craig", leaves a message says she is from Ca***a Revenue Agency, wants me to call back regarding "Shawn Hamilton" at 604-587-2736.  I don't know a Shawn Hamilton.

Got a call from this number.  Message said it was from Revenue Ca***a and gave a number to call them back on.  Called the number which turned out to be an information line where you could not talk to a real person.Called two more Ottawa numbers for the CRA.  Both people said that there was no reason for the CRA to be contacting me, especially from a BC number.They told me to be careful if they called back!

It is from Revenue Ca***a to be exact!
