why can't law enforcement track and prosecute these sc-- using phone systems that can program fake call ID out shouldn't be that hard to track from carriers?

Claimed to be calling for the IRS and said I had to contact them in 24 hours or I would be arrested.

They said they were the police. A recorded message.

This is the same exact message as received from 718-880-7001 that I have 4 charges a***nst me and I will be taken into custody by local authorities
