Here is the actual message left:Hello. This is a message from Mid America Bank. Your visa debit card has been temporarily deactivated. To reactivate your card now, please press one and you will be immediately redirected to our security department. Thank you.Hmm, I don't have an account with Mid America Bank...
Definitely a scam. My cell phone rang from this number immediately after I made a transaction at my Navy Federal Credit Union ATM. I suppose it could be a coincidence, but I doubt it. Due to the timing, it took me a while to process. It stated my Visa debit/check card had been deactivated and wanted me to enter my 16 digit number to re-activate. It then wanted my PIN! I s****ed entering my PIN and then ***g up. I actually got two of the digits in, before it hit me that this has got to be a scam.I deactivated my card, ordered a new one and got a new PIN. Navy Federal's security department has my report.
I didn't get the first call so called the number. It's a valid number that's been stolen. A your Visa card has been deactivated scam. Be very careful.
This is a scammer. I confirmed with my bank. Be careful and don't give out any personal info.
