for your information, I am getting telemarketer calls at all hours of the day and yes they are 100% telemarketer calls trying to sell me **** because I have no bills in collections and my credit is good. people who are not in debt can receive harassing calls from telemarketers too. you need to think about your comments before you make them. not everyone receiving these calls are deadbeats who don't pay their bills.

Apparently you can't read...why in***** would the police****ociation, (as in, from the mentioned website)be calling her 10 times per day regarding her bills?Sounds like you have experience here?  (apparently you know better than most...unpaid bills huh?)FYI - not all people are deadbeats.  Once you take some lite**** courses, perhaps you'll do some research before you open you mouth & make a certain and complete fool of yourself.Get a grip you troll.

I'm having the same issue, several calls a week, and never any one on the line when I do pick up.  When I called the number back, I was given the customer service number 800 378 0929, which I called, selected option 9 to be added to the Do Not Call list.  The message did indicate that your caller ID can't be blocked, and you need to call from the number you're receiving the calls on.  If this backfires, I'll let people know.

I just filed a complaint with the CRTC regarding this number 6134820359 calling my home. It belongs to the Ca***ian police****ociation.  I phoned the number and a recorded message stated that they have upcoming events and wanted my support.This is unacceptable.

So sick of calls from these numbers. Was getting calls from one number 10 times a day. Put my name and number on the do not call list. Now I receive 20 - 30 calls a day from theses same types of numbers. I finally decided to have my home phone disconnected and just use my cell. Many of my friends are doing this. Seeing as the phone companies cant do anything, it will be their loss on the revenue they lose from their ex- customers.

I got a call from these people too, but from a local Toronto area code (416). I asked if they had a website, as someone above had done and he gave copsforkids.com. I just looked it up; there's nothing at that domain name (it's for sale). Sounds like a fraud to me.

Received a call from this number at around 1:30 in the afternoon. Picked up the phone, nothing on the other line. *69 and was given a 613 number which I immediately recognized as an Ottawa number. I am in Vancouver so I did not follow up with the call

i called the police and they said to call the fraud dept about it 18884958501

hi, i was just called tonight... they had my name already. i said no to a donation request but he did say it was Cops for Kids and went on and on about the programme. i was su****ious so googled and found this. i will perhaps make a complaint to the police/whomever as they are misrepresenting themselves in the name of the police****ociation(s). and i am not in 613 area code. 613 is ottawa area. my worry is that i do make other donations to charities -- how did they get my name in the first place?

You can file a complain about them at the "Do not call list" website, I did.Very su****ious, didn't say his name,didn't say why he is calling, kept on asking my last name over and over.

This number calls late in the evening and there is never anyone on the other end. Who is this? It's really s****ing to annoy me.

Got a response today from them. They 'claim' to be from an organization called Cops for Kids and are fishing around for donations to their cause. Just one slight little problem: The police have stated time and time a***n they NEVER solicit donations over the phone. Was also given a website. www.copsforkids.com. Whois identifies them as Xentel DM Corporation out of Calgary. I think these guys are registering through them to avoid publicly revealing their name. I never visited the site but I would strongly recommend avoiding it as well.

I have been called by this company many times -- never an answer and no message left.  They sometimes call several times a day, early in the morning or late at night!

No one on the other end and no message is left if the phone isn't answered. Why is the phone company not checking into this...harrassment?
