These folks call and say that they are from a government organization; actually they are just debt collectors. They offer SSN and date of birth information to anyone who answers phone. Very rude and offensive.

I did too! I won't answer any phone call unless I recognize the # or I am expecting a call.

these peopel collect on old student loans and other debt as a bond to the government. they call people who they try and****ociate such as family members of the person who owes. if you talk to them that only confirms the****ociation and will continue. dont give up your family! these callersare desparate and try many tactics to verify data and collect.

These guys keep calling and calling every single day leaving nasty messages.THey are collecting on student loans for Dept. of Ed.... When i finally spoke to them they kept telling me to pay so****ing I couldnt afford. They wanted me to open a bank account and do all sorts of stuff that I WASNT WILLING TO DO.... I kept saying NO but they kept callling my work and calling my bosses.... Kept telling me that I was gonna get garnished...I finally got fed up...MAN I LOVE THE INTERNET...http://www.studentloanfundamentals.comI found some book called "The student loan blue print" written by a collectorI usually hate collectors but the book explained what i needed to do...It boiled down to the fact that these collection agencies are just OUT TO GET MY MONEY....I have 2 kids and my work cut my hours.... I was on the verge of getting laidoff.... and these guys were not listening....Anyways... Just do your research... I did my research and it saved my family... I sleep better at night....Seriously..read about your options

NCO student loan collection.Apparently these "classy" well-trained, guard dogs, will bark up the wrong tree.My uncle has a student loan from 20 years ago.  Im the lucky chap that has the same name as my dead beat uncle.  So "John davis" the collector thinks i'm lieing... He thinks im just denying that Im my uncle.  WE HAVE THE SAME FREAKEN NAME!!! Anyways... These guys will call and call until a person might need therapy.  I CANT SLEEP WITH OUT THEM CALLING.  So i decided to help my uncle take care of this matter for good.  Of course my recommendation and any professional will tell you "Its always best to make payments!" but its always best to know your options before negotiating with these "Classy" Collectors.  Heres a website I found that some "Student Loan collector" Made... Noticed a call from the 614 # on the ID today (They called when i wasnt here)I rang thier TOLL FREE # (866-871-7***) and a young woman answered saying 'so****ing services' may i help you? (I just asked for 'JOHN' and when she said "Im sorry we dont have a john here" I felt like saying "HOW DO YA GOTO THE BATHROOM IF YOU DONT HAVE A JOHN"?? (hehehehe)I didnt though.......

Ditto.........Repeating odd-hours calls.  No messages.  Seems like debt-collector tactics.  Don't know where they got my #.  Ignore them!

I got a call this morning from the 614-322-1797 number and yes it was a collection agency. The two voices I heard sounded like the children of some people I knew in the twin cities. When and if they ever call a***n I will take your advice and not answer the phone. Operations Division or w***ver you are blessings...P.W.E

Got a call from a relative saying someone from the same number called saying I had fowarded so****ing to there office, and that they needed to contact me.  I then s****ed to receive calls from this same number on my cell phone, and home phone about twice a day, until this morning at 8:30am where I answered it.  A woman asked me if I was"Valarie soandso"and I said yes.  She then went on to ask me if the last four digits of my social security number was so****ing(I didn't pay attention to the numbers).  I told her I would not conferm or deny that information for her.  She stated she was just trying to help me.  I then asked her if she was trying to help me then she should be willing to tell me the nature of her call.  She said a***n she was just trying to help me.  I repeated myself.  She then asked me if my birthdate was so****ing(which it was not).  I told her no that was not my birthday, and then she asked what it was.  I told her I would not give her that information.  She said thank you, and ***g up.  Doesn't sound like she was trying to help me.  Didn't sound like I was even the right person.  If they call a***n I will be telling them to stop calling as I am not the person they wanted to reach.

This person is ill mannered,rude,disrespectful.And he tries to act as if he is someone I know.I consider his at***ude threatening.

Keeps calling - told many times that "Joan" doesn't live here - they keep insisting that she does.  They ask if this is such and such address, I told them NO.  I asked what town it is and they said Walpole, MA.  That's over an hour from me.  They asked me if they called the neighbors around me if they would get the same answer.  I said they sure would, go ahead and call them.  I hate people who call me and insist that I am lying!!  Horrible people to deal with!!  STOP CALLING here!!

Corruption at its best. I've been receiving calls at least once a day and if you have the same problem, let your answering ma****e get it. There will be no message; unless you answer the call. It originates from Reynoldsburg, OH and is for debt collection.

I received a call from 614-322-1797 last night around 6:30pm but they left no message.I didn't recognize the number therefore I didn't pick up.

Being harrassed by this phone number regarding one of my husband's adult children. Don't know where she is and don't care to know.  Find her and stop harrassing me.

I got a call on my cell from this GC services asking for my boyfriend I asked to be taken off the calling list and they said that they couldnt do that.  He is very persisitant about getting in touch with him.  I think it is a financial services co and i think it is a scam! Dont answer the call or if you do tell them to quit calling! And then **** UP!

Someone named "Erika" from this number called my home repeatedly yes****ay, harassed my teenagers, and even called my NEIGHBOURS looking for my husband.  When my husband returned the call it was obvious that they had the wrong person, but that didn't seem to matter.  They called a***n today, but we didn't pick up. I'm going to follow the above suggestions, and hopefully it will take care of them.I worked in collections for years, and I can't believe this company stays in business with this type of behavior.

The call is from GC services, a debt collection agency.

Keeps calling and does not say who they are. Insists it requires immediate attention. Calls after 9pm!

Called me and asked for Lisa, had missed several calls before.  I told her that no one by that name was here, nor have they ever been.  She responded that I didnt need to be rude to her and slammed the phone down in my ear...ive tried calling it back to find it busy or no answer at all.
