They texted church members pretending to be the pastor of our church, asking for help but to not call. If people texted back, the spammer tried to get them to buy gift cards, pretending that these were for staff and to keep it confidential.

Margaret Here's a second phone number with the similar message I've been getting. No matter if you tell them you're not interested, they keep on calling back. This annoyance lead me to put the time and effort into getting them to stop calling. Turns out a blog comment suggesting calling 866-246-7196 was quite an efficient way of stopping the calls. Just give the caller's and receiving phone numbers. They'll verify the phone number calling is on their list and then add the receiving phone number to the do not call request list.

Got a call today from the phone number 615-469-5268.  given a claim number and was told to call back at this other number 877-296-3875, saying it was a direct line to KARIS.

They called my house # and cell # asking for a Tiffany Madden, but wouldn't give any additional information. When I asked what this was in regards to, the guy ***g up. It sounded like someone's personal phone number when I called.
