Ma FOP= Fraternal Order of Police, that want your money. i imagine some of what they collect might eventually end up in the police retirement fund, but how much is anyones guess.

Where did you get this information?From the government investigations I've read about, I doubt the cops are getting that big a cut.You mentioned the caller, and the room manager, but not the owner of the whole operation.BTW, I've gotten a lot of calls from these scam artists, one recently, but they keep c****ing their number to trick the callee and get around call blocking. All of the numbers they use s**** with "617-245". That's a new exc****e, because 245 belongs to a town that went in the 781 area code when it split off from****.

They keep c****ing their number, but it always s****s with****-245. "245" is an exc****e that was freed up when the**** area code split into**** and 781.No legitimate operation would keep c****ing their phone number.They do it to trick both the callee and the callee's call blocking. Tricking people is what thieves do.

We also keep getting calls (last call just came through at 9:30 3/11/10) from****-245-9698 caller id says MA FOP-they never leave a message-I do remember getting numerous calls in the past-when I did answer it they were looking for money on the "behalf of the local police for some kids sport team" I told them I wasn't in a position to donate and if the local police are having a fund raiser then they should be calling themselves, do NOT give these people your money-I'm sure it's a scam!

sure they are.but they are NOT police officers calling you...even ask them !They deliberately identify themselves as 'calling on behalf of.....'The sales guy keeps 20% of the donationthe guy managing the room gets 10%the person who picks it up gets 5%the crooked cop gets 40%the rest goes for the ***** bash on Friday afternoons.....

This number keeps calling and calling

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the *****chusetts Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on www.massfop.com. Plus, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for *****chusetts police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.
