The name was not a recognized cancer organization. Probabably was a grifter with a Cambridge phone number.

This is the MA FOP (Ferternal Order of Police) basically it's a call charity thing. I dontated once and now they call me daily without leaving messages. Because it's a charity they do not fall under the "Do Not Call" list rules.

It's apparently the Fraternal Order of Police.  Organization name sounds ***le, but I only know these things about them:1) They're NOT setup as a charity whose contributions are tax-deductible (I once donated).2) They don't appear to respect requests to remove your number from their database.Bob

Sue The caller asked for "The Lady of the House"...this is a 3rd party fundraiser call on behalf of *****chusetts Fraternal Order of Police.  Any ideas how to get off this list?

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the *****chusetts Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on www.massfop.org. Plus, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for *****chusetts police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

ken Ma FOP= Fraternal Order of Police, that want your money. i imagine some of what they collect might eventually end up in the police retirement fund, but how much is anyones guess.

My husband works for the gov't so when the "Washington, DC" caller ID showed I expected it to be a business call.  NOT  When I said he wasn't home, the caller said, "NO message, we'll call back."  Very creepy and we are on the Do Not Call List, too..not that it does much good.
