Yet another Zombie Debt collector Portfolio Recovery

They say I owe them money, I just laughed and then made a tuna sandwich.

"Polio" Recovery: they call all the time! They ask "by my first name?", I say "why?" They say "What do you mean why?" I say "you called me?" They say "Is this name?" I say "why?" They say "I have an important message!" I say "who are you?" They are so ****** that say "their name." I say "who do you represent?" They either say, "I'll call back!" ( sometimes I say I'll be waiting for you tomorrow) or if they say "I'm with Portfolio Recovery!" If they say "I'm with Portfolio Recovery!" I say "Polio Recovery?" They say "no, Portfolio Recovery!" (now they are ****ed) I say "why would anyone want to talk to Portfolio Recovery" and **** up! Sometimes they call the next day, sometimes they don't call for a few days. I guess that they are keeping a record on me? Try this! This ****es them off! I'm retired, I wait for them everyday! :-)

I think it is someone working for a debt collector from home to. Before looking up the number I called it and a man answered with an accent. After reading the other comments and finding out where and who it could be, I'm convinced that's what's going on! Pain in the ****!!!

They called me about an account that was 20 years old! And kept wanting my SS# and I told them there was no way I would give it to them. They are hounds. I've blocked their number, but I can still see their attempts to call me and it is all day and late into the night. What canI do to get them to stop?

Bill collected calls me about a bill that I paid 4 years ago. I reported them to the Federal Trade Commission

This number and many other numbers that are claiming to be portfolio recovery associates keep calling me about a debt from over 5 years ago that has since then been written off. When I answered the phone, it sounded like the woman calling was at home and ppl over. I'm guessing they have some kind of system to where they forward calls to their****ociates who work from home. The woman I spoke with was extremely unprofessional.

The Felonious illegals that are Portfolio Recovery****ociates. Number comes up in Covina, CA, but they are not on file, licensed, or permitted in that city, by the city of Covina or the State. PRA are just s***bags that break Federal, & state LAWS, and tread all over US citizens' Civil Rights! They are known for preying on the Elderly with their Phone Scams. PRA uses ***DREDS of VoIP lines and has been succesfully sued by individuals and states, but the Fed has yet to go after them. FCC & FTC know about them well, but Holder is not interested in stopping them. They are on the NASDAQ and are structured just like a PYRAMID Scheme. Look them up. HQ is in ******a and they have another parent co. name, Anchorage. They are bad people that prey on the elderly and try to collect on debts that are not Legally collectable. They also have ties with the MagicJack company in Florida - now considerred the MOST CORRUPT STATE in this Country. Welfare and SS and Medical Fraud are number one there. ******s put them at the top, too. PRA has been using Extortion tactics for over 10 years and it has been paying off for the Exec. Board members only - but has paid. Sad.
