Leave a CommentReceived phone call from this number today-April 5th.did 1471 since no message left on answer ma****e.
I also came home this morning, dialled 1471 and got this number.I live in Herefordshire, England.
This is a 'you have won a free cruise' call. If you want answer the call - it won't cost anything they are phoning you. Speak to a real person then mess them around for as long as you can. without giving them any personal information. e.g. ask them to just hold on while I put the dog out, get my gl***** etc. to **** them off. But don't buy anything.....
I keyed in 1471 on returning home to see if anyone had called and got 0016262738279 had called. I checked on the internet and found complaints at http://phoneowner.info/Number.aspx/6262738279 . I think the number's from Pasadena, California.I wonder whether this is the source of the large number of silent calls (around 3 per day) we've been getting over the last 2 weeks, where there's apparently no-one at the other end but the line doesn't go dead till we **** up.If the scam is to get people to ring back at high cost then perhaps they could be suppressing their number for calls that get through (i.e. failed from their viewpoint) but allowing their number to get through when no-one answers the call, hence encouraging people to call back either due to getting their number via 1471 or because the caller left a recorded message.
I got a call from this number and I live in England
