Leave a CommentCalled my sister-in-law, who is a widow and demanded payment for a loan she did not own. Called three times providing a social security number that was not her's. She is very afraid of the caller. I attempted to call the number; however, was advised by the operator that the call could not be completed as dialed.
recieve calls everyday saying its important to call them immediately. they identify themselves and everyday its different.
This idiot guy called my number for Patricia Smith. I told him she has never taken calls from this number. She use to rent a house from me and now she has moved. But that wasn't good enough for him. He called back and just kept saying, let me talk, let me talk, as I was screaming to him do not call this number a***n, idiot. Apparently he does not understand what people say to him or he just doesn't listen because he wants to talk. He needs to be fired.
Called and left message regarding "a very important matter that came across her desk". No mention of what it is about and that I am suppose to call her back regarding this. Like that is going to happen.
Collecting old visa bill. Sounded as if she was calling from a lawyers office.I don't have an old visa bill.

Got a call from Stoneleigh Reco - they left a very forceful message saying that it was very important for my husband to call back and that he shouldnot ignore the call. My husband did not call back because it was an out of state call. They have been calling us everyday - most of the time they just **** up without leaving a message. We are not even trying to not answer their calls they just keep calling when we are not home. We don't know why they are calling. We have excellent credit except that we have a dispute with a time share in which we were scammed. That can be the only reason they are calling.
They have been calling me now for about 2-3 years and keep asking for a Lancelot guy. I've had this phone since 2005 and have explained this to them. They always say they are taking my number off the account and low and behold, if they are not calling back a few days later. Usually, if I do not answer the phone, they will call me at least once or twice a day. I have no idea who this Lancelot guy is. Makes me so mad that they keep on calling.
There is a statute of limitation on a debt. These people purchase a debt that I owned about 15 years ago and now they are trying to scare me into paying. Illinois Statutes of Limitation Breach of contract for sale under the UCC: 4 years.Open account or unwritten contract: 5 years. NOTE: Except, as provided in 810 ILCS 5/2- 725 (UCC), actions based on a written contract must be filed within 10 years, but if a payment or new written promise to pay is in made during the 10 year period, then the action may be commenced within 10 years after the date of the payment or promise to pay.Domestic judgments: 20 years, but can be renewed during that 20-year period.Foreign judgments are the same time as allowed by the laws of the foreign jurisdiction.Tolling: A person's absence from the state or during the time that an action is stayed by *****ction, court order or by statutory prohibition tolls the time limit.Non Sufficient Funds (NSF or Payment of Negotiable Instruments) checks: 3 years of the dishonor of the draft or 10 years after the date of the draft, whichever expired first: 810 ILCS 5/3-118 Up Indiana Statutes of Limitation Breach of contract for sale under UCC: 4 years.Unwritten accounts or contracts and promissory notes or written contracts for payment of money executed after August 31, 1982: 6 years.Written contracts unrelated to the payment of money: 10 years.Written acknowledgement or new promise signed by the debtor, or any voluntary payment on a debt, is sufficient evidence to cause the relevant statute of limitations to begin running anew.Judgments: 10 years unless renewed.
Called me looking for my ex-husband's wife, who by the way is my ex-best friend. I have had no contact with either of them for 10 years. How could this company possibly have my name and phone number?
They call harassing us to pay a debt but will not negosiate a agreeable amount to pay. Small monthly payments I am willing to do but not a lump some. They have called neighbors to give us messages
Received a message from these people today. Michelle wrote how to stop them. Write them a letter telling them to remove your number from their call list and to only respond to you via "snail" mail, send it certified mail asking for a signature. If they call you a***n after they receive the letter they can be fine $1,000 for each phone call. http://800notes.com/articles/Article.aspx/KBN5c2IZiAC_wQjKBNRWFA copy and paste this link and send a copy of it with your letter to them. This will stop the calls if not you can turn the tables on them and have them pay you for harrising you. Hope this helps.
These people call all the time. They never leave messages. I looked them up and discovered they are a collection agency. Fine. I don't have any outstanding debts! So it makes me wonder why they are calling. I just let the answering ma****e get it. Their address is Stoneleigh Recovery, 1919 Highland Ave, Ste 325B, Lombard, Illinois. I don't have the zip code, but it should be easy to find. I would write them a cease and desist letter.

HArd to get them off line even when I told them I had no contact with this person or anyone who knew her. Yes****ay had two unknown numbers that were **** ups. BEWARE!!
