What other utilities companies are there besides Key-Span and LIPA?

It depends on where you live.  There are a few communities, such as Freeport and Rockville Centre, that provide their own power independent of LIPA.As for the number, I only it's LIPA because of of this site (& ones like it).  No messages, no nothing, just **** ups.

Very annoying. We keep getting calls from this # any time of the day , a couple of times and no one talks.

I called 516-545-2315. the number posted here and left a message with NATIONAL GRID, a recording. I indicated that I have received many many harrassing calls, with with no message, or a **** up. Since the number they call on is an apartment and I do not pay them - there absolutely no way they should be calling me. I****ume they are just calling random numbers.My message was if I continue to receive this harrassing calls, they can expect me to seek damages and whatever other legal remedy is available. I did mention that this harras*****t is so common that it is all over the internet.I'll keep you posted

I live in Long Island, NY, my caller ID shows LIPA-KEYSPAN, this number calls several times a day, when I answer they **** up and if i call back only got busy signal.  It is really anoying!I do have my electrical and gas with them, now I'm thinking of swit****g utility companies.

This number has called my cell phone 8 times in the past 2 days.  When I answer they **** up or if I miss the call they don't leave a message.

Keyspan message is unintelligible. My payment has been sent, anyway. Rep in collection dept is not doing a good job. I know, because I am a former Keyspan employee.

They call at all hours never leave a message, you try and call back and get a fast busy signal. How Rude!

I've been getting these calls - ****s up, call back and get a fast busy. Checking on the web indicates it may be Keyspan (now National Grid) or Lipa.

Automated call - calls constantly - comes up on my phone as LIP K.

LIPA left a message from this number.  Probably trying to get access to the meter.

I didn't know what this number was at first, but did realize it was from Keyspan after checking the web. Since my bill is paid, I didn't know what they would call me about and a call to them at the 800 number got me nowhere.Until today, no message was ever left and I had no success in calling the number back. Today, I actually got a message. It was a reminder for an appointment.NYS Public Service Commission Pipeline safety code requires Keyspan to perform a periodic safety inspection of the gas regulateor and piping that runs to the meter and the appliances. They say periodic, but in reality it is every 20 years, which is why I had no clue as to why they were calling.I rec'd a letter this past week saying they had been trying to get in touch with me via mail and phone, but I never got anything, and obviously the phone calls didn't work.Here is the direct line to the INspection appt. line....516-545-2315.I will post this same notice elsewhere whenever I see the number brought up.

I never hear anything when I answer. I say "hello,*****o,*****o" every night... silence. I thought it was so****ing of concern. LIPA ****s, get your act together.
