Leave a Commentyou dont understand. It is vented to the soffit from the attic and out of the house. You should take your own advise. THINK
Aww Larry.. The nerve of ppl calling you're house to try and sell you so****ing..boo hoo..Do you have some sort of handicap that doesn't allow you to tell someone that you're not interested or just **** UP..I just can't believe some of the things that ppl will cry about these days.. Don't you live in NH? Isn't there a ton of ppl there who can do a little of everything? Do u work for a utility company or on the board of an energy council? Maybe yo do and are crying about compe***ion.. The utility companies are just as big of a scam.. Do any of you look at you're utility bills.. What's the delivery charge all about.. I've never seen a truck to deliver electricity or natural gas..understand this.. The utilities do not offer free services either.. You are all paying for it with the bs extra charges on ur bills.. And they are all in cahoots with the contractors they provide to do energy saving services.. There are scams where you least expect it so you all need to smarten up and pay attention to what you're buying..
Challant-MAHow did the company get away without paying to fix the mess.. Didn't they have insurance to pay for damage to a homeowners property? Did you ask if they had a certificate of insurance? Are you new to the world..I don't mean to pick on you but I can't understand how someone can ruin a 3d tv.. Don't these companies work in attics and crawl****es.. Are u a ****** and have ur tv in a crawl****e or so****ing..and WHY would you leave a few thousand dollar tv in such a situation.. I think an award needs to be given to you sir/ms. You probably are the dumbest individual on this message board..
How does one ***** up a 3d tv and what ***** would have it around work being performed..it seems to me that you were the one that *****d up you're tv pal..I could care less about a phone call to my house when I could simply **** up the phone and say not interested.. I will simply be doing work in my own home as these are simple things that are DYI projects.. I'm pretty sure it's not rocket science to add insulation or a little foam in certain key areas after a little research.. I will be sure to remove my tv from the area to be worked in because I have more than half a ***in and apparently it takes that to realize this has to be done..I am in no way defending this company but all you *****s with all ur complaints on here obviously didnt do the proper research on this company..every company will have happy customers and unhappy customers due to the nature of the beast,.I'm sure most of you ppl who own or work for any type of business has complaints just like the ones posted here..the complaints I see on here are just you ppl admitting that you were dumb enough to not research so****ing you were paying thousands of dollars for.. I tip my hat to you all for somehow being dumber that a box of rocks and still being able to have a good enough job to be able to pay a few thousand bucks to have a service provided..
These people continue to bother me with their false claims of being sponsored by the federal government. i found this article, pass it on to help others from being scammed!http://www.eagletribune.com/latestnews/x37718 ... -Atkinson/print
Read this article from my local paper to help you decide to bring these con artists into your home:http://www.eagletribune.com/latestnews/x37718 ... -Atkinson/print
This company ****s.... They use USEEC to make BS telemarketing calls so they can send one of their uneducated auditors to your home. He will go through your home and make stuff up and give you a final package up to $5000. Tell you if he walks out the door so does the false rebates from NHEEP. Another scam company owned by National energy audits. they came to my house and destroyed it. I had to have a contractor come and fix everything after they left. The *****ed up my ***nd new 3d tv. MY advice, STAY FAR AWAY FROM USEEC, NHEEP AND NATIONAL ENERGY AUDITS.
I looks like they are with BBB:http://www.bbb.org/boston/business-reviews/en ... burn-ma-117193/
<>Think! Warm moist air is vented out the soffit. Most likely the soffit is vented to the attic. Now that warm moist air goes back into the attic and in winter time condenses in the attic. Now you have created the conditions for mold and rot.Let's discuss the dryer vent. In order to do the job properly, the metal duct should be sealed at the seam and the metal duct should be sealed to the wherever it p***** through the wall and the tyvek or tarpaper has to be sealed to the metal duct too. I was shocked to see the damage done to my rimboard from the dryer metal duct. I had to replace the rimboard. It is vital that warm moist air from the dryer does not condense onto any wood. If I were building a new house I would have the dryer vent go through the foundation, if at all possible.
USEEC, NHEEP, and National Energy Audits are all scams. These people are not accredited by any organization, most notably Building Performance Ins***ute (BPI). They do not complete any testing on your boiler, they do not do ****ER DOOR TESTS after they complete the weatherization work to see if they made any improvements to your home, and they are NOT affiliated with the Federal Government as they all claim!! Their "instant rebate" program is a joke, and since they are not officially recognized by BPI, they cannot get a homeowner any legitimate rebate from the State of New York, or any of the utility companies (LIPA, National Grid, ConEd)
The above is the address of US Energy Effiency Council. That's where the telemarketer told me where she was located. I'm not familiar with National Energy Audits address.
They've c****ed their address to : ? Lincoln Ave. Holbrook, NY 11741 but it's still the same scam on a larger scale. Beware!!!
Had an energy audit perfformed by them over the labor day weekend. The auditor, Brian Edgar did a spectacular audit. He was in my home for a good 4 hours. He discovered a problem with our dryer vent and 2 bathroom exhaust fans. He also showed us that the insulation in our attic was only an R value of 13. He told me that his company could fix our dryer vent, bathroom fans and insulation level in the attic. Today, 9/7/2010, his company came back and did the work. They made our fans exhaust out through the soffit vents and corrected the dryer vent. They also put a layover of insulation. They used a newer insulation made from recycled products that had an R value of 30. So now our attic has a R43 value. This company is very professional and clean. They did not leave a mess and they guys that came to do the install work were very friendly and polite. I will recommend their services to friends and family. And yes, the tax credits and rebates are very real. We qualify for all incentives and the final cost to us is just over $1,200.We are very happy with National Energy Audits. Good Job!
I know where their office is on Long island. Its in a plaza. The second floor is all office suites to many companies. First floor is all retail. I have seen their trucks on LI for about 3 years now. I have heard many good things from people and I too had an audit done by them based on my neighbors's opinion. They are very professional. They insulated my attic last month and even their carpenters were very professional and nice guys. We hired them because they have an excellent rating on BBB, Angieslist and servicemagic. And when they definitely did excellent work and an excellent audit. Brian Edgar, our auditor spent 4 hours in our home inspecting every crawl****e. He even removed our "*****" mouse traps. National Energy Audits is a GREAT COMPANY!
The "Corporate Headquarters" of this company as listed on their official website is at .... RADIO SHACK address in a small town on the Long Island. And this is - official - fact, so, Caveat emptor!
The people that post negative comments always post anonymously which really questions the credibility of their posts. I recently retired from LIPA and I can clarify any doubts that anyone has when reading these posts. National Energy Audits is a legitimate company that is part of many different rebate programs. They have gone through many lengths to get certified and have acquired all certifications to perform the proper audits and insulation and air sealing. All the rebates they offer are 100% accurate and real. The federal tax credits that homeowners can claim will vary based on dollar amount but cannot exceed $1,500. The Benefits of using a company like National Energy Audits is that they scientifically verify that they are doing the proper work. Meaning: They will not make your home to airtight which can be hazardous. They will only use the proper materials and amounts needed to bring your home to a proper R-Value. They DO NOT come in and try to sell you a $12,000 boiler, a $3,000 water heater, $30,000 solar panels. INSTEAD, they audit your home through a series of tests and inform you of what you do need to make your home more energy efficient through insulation and air sealing. Most of their packages do cost $2,000 to $3,000 and they DO qualify for all the rebates and credits. WARNING: There are many companies that will claim they can offer you rebates or tax credits but they may not be able to. They also do not care if they make your home too air tight. They also will us old traditional insulation that contains formaldehyde. Readers should be careful of what they read since many posts are FAKE and actually posted by compe***ors trying to de-value a company. Readers should actually check servicemagic, angieslist, searchapro etc.... and see that National Energy Audits has 1000s of HAPPY clients and have "A" ratings on all these sites. These are posts by actual clients.
you are very misinformed about this company. they are listed under the bbb and are helping people save money. the audits are done to help the homeowners as well. there is no obligation for you to do anything other than the audit. try looking for the real scams out there.
Yes a big scam just trying to sell you so****ing with a fake discount
Yea... just a scam... They call constantly offering audits. then they get to your house and offer fake rebates and try to sell you insulation. beware of this company.
National Energy Audits of Ronkonkoma calling to sell you home energy audits. Are they are scam? Who knows? But they do telemarket phone numbers regardless of whether they are on the Federal do-not-call list. Their reason for calling is that they are "affiliated" with Long Island Power Authority. When their telemarketers are challenged on this claim or with some of the questions they ask, they will **** up on you.And that fact makes them lowlife s***bags. Here is their contact info:National Energy Audits601 Portion Road, Suite 207Lake Ronkonkoma New York 11779Phone: 1-866-GET-ENERGYFax: 631-419-6564 Email: [email protected]
