Got a text from this number saying their name was Robert and asking if my boat was still for sale. I said yes and asked if they wanted to see it. Then I saw the area code and figured it was a scam. I found the number on here so I thought I would see what happens when I call. It went to a google voice mail. Then they texted back saying text only, no calls. Scammer!!!

This number texted saying he was Robert fred, wanting to buy our 5th wheel camper posted on craigslist. He refused to call, wanted to send a check, and have local movers come pick it up. He also said he can not put a direct deposit into our bank, due to his type of work. We were defiantly thinking this was a scam, specially after seeing these comments below.

Received a text from tjis number about firebird I have listed on craigslist. Guy identified himself as Collins. Said he wanted to buy the vehicle for rhe asking price if I****ured him he wouldnt be disappointed. I provided him info on the car ans hw requested my name and email for mt paypal account. I provided the info he then requested my address for the shipping company. I provided him my address. Now I see these post about this being a scam and im worried what I need to do to protect myself since he has my name, address, and email address for paypal acct. Help!!!

got a text saying he wanted to buy my bmw hardtop that I have listed, craigslist, and wanted my paypal account, I told him to go to my ebay listing and he could purchase it there. He replied he does not deal with ebay. I told him ebay gaurantees purchases btwn buyer and seller and if he wants to use paypal that is the only way. He replied NOPE. So I told him to come to this website and see what people are saying about his texting. I got no reply. I hate scammers. I beleieve the best way to sell besides ebay is pay for an ad in some car magazine. lol

Texted once about a boat and trailer I had on Craigslist and never responded to reply... In my experience these past few years of selling on various sites , if they don't talk in person then 110% Spammer.

this guy is full of ****. he wants to buy my waverunner. but all he really cares about is me opening a PayPal acct. he claims his name is Collins Williams, however he speaks horrible English with a heavy Indian or Islamic accent. probably trying to fund terrorism. Stay Away from this guy.

i got a text to buy my ambulance i have for sell on craigs list.. this is the 2nd time this week i have had to report on scammers. i called the ph # and was an answering ma****e i text back to them ..if you are a scammer please GO AWAY
