They lie about your PC sending out malware, error messages, etc., and say your PC is about to crash to frighten you into giving them remote control of your PC to fix the nonexistent problem (don't let them!). If they ask you to open the systems tab in eventvwr.msc to see all the errors, these harmless errors are *normal* for any Windows PC (mine has several and it runs just fine). Don't let them take control of your PC because they can download *real* malware, possibly a malware suite, that can spam, steal bank logins and personal info, etc. If they've remoted into your PC, the safest fix is to re-format your drive and re-install your OS****uming you have clean backups of your data. You can try scanning with various antivirus software but scanning may not find all the malware. If you don't know how, get help from friends or pay a local shop to do it. THIS IS A SCAM.

Called my daughter when she was out and stated that her computer was in infected with a virus and told her he'd call her back when she was at home to help her. He called and I spoke to him asking various questions which when he answered could barely hear him and then didn't want to speak with me and kept insisting to speak with my daughter - a TOTAL SCAM!!!!! And, yes he spoke with an accent (India) - told him not to call a***n and ***g up on him - that was a couple of days ago. Now, today at work, got the same phone call but this time I looked up the number and discovered all the comments here about this number - he didn't speak this time. PLEASE BE AWARE AND DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION AND LET EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS SCAM!!!!!

Yes they did call. 3X in a row. No message; cannot retrn call.

Received 2 calls from this # &when I answer no one answers.
