Leave a Commentyes its a debt collector. my bill is from 10 years ago they are just now calling me crazy
most cell phones have a call reject list that you can put the number on and it will auto reject their call..
They have been calling me every day 3-7 times. This is harassment.
They call my work number all of the time, but only after 6 or during the weekend, when I am out of the office. They did finally leave a voicemail, but it was just a lot of mangled noise. It's very strange.
I get the same calls. I've only answered once, because they call me during work hours, but no one said anything. I looked up info about it and it's a collections agency in Michigan or Minnesota. But the weird thing is that I don't owe anyone any money...I'm only 20 and I don't even have a credit card or a bank account at the moment. Some other people were saying that they get these calls and the agency is looking for someone who used to have their number...but I've had my same number for almost 5 years now, and the calls s****ed last week. They call multiple times and day and never leave a message. I am so confused, because I shouldn't be getting collection calls from anyone. ??? Is there any way to stop the calls???
Got a call from 651-204-1461. Bank of America had been calling about a customer who was delinguent (a woman). When I told BOA I was not that customer, BOA sold the debt to ICS **along with the erroneous phone number** (yep, mine). I called ICS back after several calls (which I did not answer). The customer service rep said she would have my number removed within 24 hours. We'll see.
They've been calling me, too, for the last few weeks. I just got this phone number the last month and I read this page and did as someone suggested....I called the number back, someone answered almost immediately from IC Systems...I told the guy the situation, he asked my number, I gave it to him, he looked it up and asked if I was "Julian" or knew a "Julian", in which I don't.I told him that I didn't and he said he'd promptly take the number off the list and that the call is being recorded/monitored for quality control..And that was it.So if they're calling you...and don't answer when you say*****o...Just call them back and see if they're just looking for someone else!Took me less than 45 seconds to clear up the mishap and it wasn't that bad.
this number calls my phone prob 5 or 6 times a day...weekdays...weekends...doesn't matter. this is getting more and more annoying!
why does this number call me a thousand times a day?!?!?! this is getting really annoying.
Recording to stay on the line ****g up*
This is a collection agency. it shouldn't be that hard. They mail you letters telling you you owe them money and from which creditor. So when you get letters then get anonymous calls from this #, its clear its a collection agency. They do not leave messages but if you call it, they answer with the company name. Wasn't hard for me to get info and post this. Now as far as validity of what they re calling about is a separate issues.
They Call me EveryDay, Several Times a Day.. They never say anything.. Annyoying..
This number calls me several times a day. They even call late at night. Its very disturbing. When they call and I answer the phone no one says anything and it is silent. They even got through the Do Not Call list..
They call about 4 times a day..It's a debt collecting agency..
in a follow up to that, you are under no obligation to talk to anyone over the phone, they can't help you with your bills when you declare your hardships to them, let them send you a letter in the mail, like everyone else does. If need be call that number and tell em what the last guy did, you just got your phone and you want them to STOP! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFO. Just your phone number. That's all. They DO NOT need anything else. If they decline, tell them you're calling the FCC, 1-800-Call-FCC. www.fcc.gov. Follow that up with the fact that you're gonna call your local and state law enforcement too. That should end pretty quickly. It appears that these people "IC SYSTEMS" purchased debt from someone you did owe money to. What does that mean??..... Companys who are owed payment from consumers only try to collect debt for a select period of time before they quit. Rather then take a total loss, they sell the debt to companies like IC systems. To expand on that, Let's say you had a $100 debt with XYZ Company. They tried to collect on it. Then never heard from you. So they sold the $100 debt to IC SYSTEMS for $50 or less, so they could make some kind of profit. Then IC Systems calls and harr***** you into the debt. The full $100 debt. The purpose of the call is to scare you into paying. You, as a consumer in the United States have rights though. They can not do anything other then as you to pay the debt in a diplomatic manner. Beyond that, yelling, cursing, telling you to forget paying the rent or power and send them money or even talking to you like your a criminal or a bad person is in deed illeagal. Now from a te****ical stand point, and people who represent companies like IC Systems won't like this.... If the original creditor sent the debt to IC Systems, a second party collector that means that IC Systems has to proove that it is in deed a legitimate debt. This means they have to provide you DETAILED invoices, bills and records****ociated with the debt. Not just a piece of paper saying your name and a dollar ammount. I'm not encouraging you to scam the scammers, I am telling you though that IT IS WORTH YOUR TIME to tell them to send all communication by mail. confirm whatever address they tell you, weather correct or not. If you get a letter, respond with a Printed letter asking them to VALIDATE the debt. Don't correct any incorrect information that they have incorrect in their file of you. I know it sounds wrong, but then a***n what are they doing? In return you may get a letter that says your name and some company you may have owed money to. A one page letter is not LEGGAL VALIDATION OF DEBT. It would not stand up in ANY court in the United States. Seriously. They have to send you every detail, every charge and explain every charge with the same kind of break down as you would get at the supermarket on your receipt. Think about it. Credit cards send statements that break down who you bought items from, when you made the purchase, where (address) it was you shopped at etc. IC Systems too has to proove the debt in the same manner. If not, it is the same thing as a criminal in jail sending you a letter he/she printed from computer in jail saying you have a debt with his/her "company". Would you pay a criminal? Seriously? For all we know, this IC Systems could be just that. Some dude or chick in a prision cell who is scamming people out of money. It's not like it hasn't happened before. It has! I found this number (651) 204-1461 in a lot of postings after google-ing it and I'm pretty pist at how many people are being taken for fools. DON'T BE A FOOL!
I mentioned that I would post here as a follow-up to my last post. As expected, they did keep calling. So this time I decided to call the 651-204-1461 number and got someone named Colleen. I told her the situation, that I keep getting calls from them to which they keep asking for someone I do not know. She then asked how long I had my Cell phone (which is the phone they keep calling). I replied "about two months". She then said that they have a record that the person they keep calling had this number (the cell phone company recycled the number too soon). She apologized about the calls and said she removed it from their database. That was on 9/8/09, and to this point, I have not received anymore calls from them.My advice is, if they keep calling you, and you have had your phone for awhile, you probably owe money, since these guys are a legit collection agency (IC Systems). If you have not had your phone a long time, or are positive that you do not owe any money, I would answer the call and wait a few seconds for them to respond (it is a auto dialer and it takes a second for them to pick-up on their end).I hope this information helps everyone, or at least a few. Good luck and best wishes!!
They call anywhere from2-6 times a day. I have ignored, I have answered (no answer) and they still call. I do not know who they are what they want, but it is an on going problem I am not sure how to fix.
They call about 4 times a day. When I answer they ask for a Tiffany Russell (who I do not know). So I ask who they are and they will not tell me and then demand to know if I know Tiffany. After a long swearing match back a forth, they finally **** up. I called the companies 800 number (800-279-9525) and talked to a nice lady who was very helpful with finding why they had my number. They are a collections agency that is looking for this Tiffany, but my cell phone number is listed with her. The nice lady said she would remove it from the file. Time will tell. I will post here in a few days if they keep calling.

Some Collections agency..They call about 4 times a day up until literally 2 minutes to 9:00 p.m...
They call at least twice a week. I've stopped answering their phone calls when it shows up on my caller ID. I looked up the phone number and its from Minnesota. They need to STOP calling my cell phone!!!
They call everyday Mon-Sun. They don't say anything. They just **** up. It's very irriating. PLEASE STOP ALL THE CALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This number keeps calling me but no one is there. I am about to have my number c****ed so that they leave me alone or a lawsuit coming!!
This number shows up on the email voicemail that I receive from my voicemail server, but my caller ID says either "Blocked" or "Private Number", so I won't answer it. It is a St. Paul, Minnesota number.
I also receive daily phone calls from these s***bags, even on my cellphone. The company is I.C Systems, a debt collection agency. Evidently these companies don't care that they violate FDCPA FEDERAL laws by contacting a person and say nothing, by contacting your cellphone as they are prohibited from contacting you so that you incur a charge. This company is either so shady or has so many complaints that their local BBB will no longer handle complaints a***nst them. They are located in Vancouver Washington, opened business in July 2007. Guess they decided that with the economic problems they could get onboard with the Collection Agency Scams and take your money. These companies need to be put out of business, business licences revoked, fined heavily, whatever it takes. The American consumer is in enough trouble and don't need this abuse.
This number continually calls all day using up my minutes. Wen I answer they **** up. Its annoying as*****.
