Somebody was able to hack in to our corporate PBX and use it for "scam phone calls" on 02/14/10Issue was detected and resolved on 02/15/10.Regards.Prousys.
The called me and said to press1 to be conected to the security department. Is this a scam?
Same call from 661-578-5583 . . . . .Instead of giving the 16 digit card (which one?) . . . I left a message: "F--- Yourself!!" , , , this is undoubtly a scam!!!
I got the call a few minutes ago. I let it go to voice mail and they terminated the call. tried calling back and always busy! Sounds like a scam to me! calling after hours trying to make it seem like someone is using your card right at that time. Why can't they trace the number and **** up the building they are doing this from?
Got a call from 661-578-5583 a little while ago. An automated voice said my credit card had been temporarily deactivated because of suspected fraudulent purchases. It then asked me to type in my 16 digit card number. There was no way to get an operator and the call didn't mention anything about which bank/credit card this call was about. I entered an incorrect number to try to get connected to an operator, but no luck. This was a clear scam. A real bank would identify themselves if they called you and they wouldn't ask for your full credit card number.
Got the same call on 2/14/10 and they kept trying to get me to enter my card number. I tried "0" and saying operator but an automated voice just kept asking for my card number. Number is busy when I tried to call back. Sounds like a scam to me.
I just got the same phone call and earlier this week I got a weird email regarding my "credit card" as well.
Prousys is an Instrumentation and Controls System Integration Company and is not an any way related to a credit card company.
I called 661-578-5583 and got a message "Thank you for calling ProUsys" I googled it and found a company @ www.prousys.com located in bakersfiled ca (where the calls came from). Included is the email address for customer service (although they don't seem to be related to credit [email protected]
