Carol Got a message saying my card was about to be cancelled and I should share the number to keep it active...who are these people? Can we do anything else?
Prousys Somebody was able to hack in to our corporate PBX and use it for "scam phone calls" on 02/14/10Issue was detected and resolved on 02/15/10.Regards.Prousys.
kb I just got the same phone call and earlier this week I got a weird email regarding my "credit card" as well.
Aimee Got the same call on 2/14/10 and they kept trying to get me to enter my card number. I tried "0" and saying operator but an automated voice just kept asking for my card number. Number is busy when I tried to call back. Sounds like a scam to me.
VG Got a call from 661-578-5583 a little while ago. An automated voice said my credit card had been temporarily deactivated because of suspected fraudulent purchases. It then asked me to type in my 16 digit card number. There was no way to get an operator and the call didn't mention anything about which bank/credit card this call was about. I entered an incorrect number to try to get connected to an operator, but no luck. This was a clear scam. A real bank would identify themselves if they called you and they wouldn't ask for your full credit card number.
Steve I got the call a few minutes ago. I let it go to voice mail and they terminated the call. tried calling back and always busy! Sounds like a scam to me! calling after hours trying to make it seem like someone is using your card right at that time. Why can't they trace the number and blow up the building they are doing this from?
Bill Same call from 661-578-5583 . . . . .Instead of giving the 16 digit card (which one?) . . . I left a message: "F--- Yourself!!" , , , this is undoubtly a scam!!!
The called me and said to press1 to be conected to the security department. Is this a scam?
jerry called and told us our credit card was being investigated for some type of fraud. press one to talk to our secuity specialist. press one and the phone goes dead. tried calling back, the number is always busy.
Private Same thing happened to me 2-14-10 not usre what it is about
