Did not recognize the caller ID name. Person stated they were calling regarding a contest my credit card company entered me in in 2006. They wanted to know which credit card it was or which one I used most frequently. The person also wanted information regarding my adress and to confirm the phone number, insisting saying "don't you want a million dollar" or "you're willing to give up a million dollars by not answer these simple questions?" I refused to give any info and ***g up, smelled fishy.

She then confirmed 'my address' which was wrong and asked me to correct it. I said I wouldn't give personal info out when someone calls me. She abruptly ***g up. This call apparently came from Memphis, MS.

My friend got this call and is so excited because she thinks she won $25,000 and she is a poor single mother who is struggling to make ends meet. This is not a reasonable or insignificant practice, it's intollerable. I am outraged that my friend whom I love is going to be going through this additional unnecessary pain.
It was this super energetic lady talkig about how she just pulled my name for the publishers clearing house and I'm enter for the grand prive for all of NY state, and that I was really lucky since they only do it oce a month. Then she said that I was entered into the drawing because I pay my credit card bills ontime and that one of these (rattle off 4-5 credit card compaines) entered me. So then she said "let me ask you a question, which credit card I currently use the most?" and I told her mastercard (which I don't have one of) and she said correct so I ***g up.
I received a call from this number saying it was Discover Card. I asked how he got this number since I never applied for a card and he ***g up. I called it back and he answered Publishers Clearing House. I believe this is a scam so beware.
I received a call from this number telling me I was a finalist for a $25,000 prize from Publishers sweepstakes. They wanted to confirm both my address and that I use one of the 4 major credit cards. They told me it was safe to give address and credit card information because it was a federally secured phone line. I would not give them either of that information so she ***g up. Be careful...

I just got a call from this number. The lady said she was calling from "publisher's sweepstakes". She said my name was chosen as one from texas that has been entered in the final drawing to be held on January 15th. She said to make sure I wrote the date down so I would remember it, okay? I knew she was just trying to get me to say yes or okay or some thing like that. even knowing this, I still said alright. As soon as I did she slammed the phone down in my ear!
