I got three calls back to back from an officer claiming to be officer Oldby from the Covington Police Department. I tried to call back. It just gave the prompt to leave a message or consent to calls and text from that number.

Claimed to be an officer on his personal cell phone asking if I had my car with me. Stated he was looking at the same 2025 Escalade w/ my VIN numbers. Gave me a case number and number to the police station. Said there was registration info in the car w/ my name and address and I should call my creditors about fraud. I look up this number and seems they fake as police all over…

I live in Georgia they called me four times in a row after calling the pampa Texas police department just before receiving a return call from the officer it did seem to be very weird

Said he was a cop and I had warrant for my arrest

Called @ 5 am and kept asking where I was located so they could find me. Definitely a spam/scam caller.

So there are reports all over the internet about this being a spam/scam officer calling. I can say with 100% certainty this is a legitimate police number. If you call back and go through the menus it will navigate you to the correct precinct. I also met face to face with the officer which owns this number.

They called at 3:30 in the morning 3 times in a row claiming to be an officer & when I called the white county sheriffs office they told me they didn’t have an officer by that name and it sounded like a scam
