Leave a CommentI got the call today from (912)376-6054 which is Robert's Savannah line, he asked me to call back his Atlanta number (678) 608-7828. Thanks for the heads up.
This Robert guy is running some sort of a scam. I just wish I knew his angle. We talked a long time. When he called me, he didn't identify himself and he acted like we were old friends. He was very unprofessional. He got me to sign up for some on-line college information. He too said he had a job for me. This guy is some sought of scammer. Plus his website looks very questionable.
He call me at home 'cause I 've applied for job. He didn't accept to talk at that time, instead he insisted to arrange another interview by phone later the same day. The reason to refuse me talking at that time wasn't clear for me, but he insisted at evening will be more relaxing for me and there gona be no disturbing factors. I explained him that is not issue for me as I am appling for serious, engineering and by presumption mul***asking job. Anyway, I accepted but I felt so****ing was wrong. He was u***equately polite and I decided to google him. You can do the same and make your own conclusions. But there is so****ing more. After I checked his history I called him to ask for simple things: who are you, what company he represents and are there any credentials to believe him. The answer of my gently asked questions was terribly rough. I just insisted not to use more my Do Not Call me listed phone number. My suggestion is that the person is a scam. Do not accept his unsolicited calls!
Yep, everything everybody else said happened.Message left from ph: (912)376-6054, background sounds like a "boiler room". I've had legitimate calls like this when a new project is hot to fill requisition orders fast. All seemed well until Robert said the company would require an MBA for me to be a project manager. Just to see where this was going to lead, I filled some online forms with -Roberts' help- entering fake info or what was already on my resume.I have done plenty of interviews and none of them required s****ing an education program or buying insurance BEFORE getting an OFFER.
I got a call from Robert about a job offer but he would not go into any details about the job. After with him for a few minutes about various jobs that I work at in the past, he ended the call and said that he will give me a call in a couple of weeks once they decided on the position. Is this guy for real? He seems like he maybe running some type of scam. I didn't give him any personal information. He didn't seem to know that you needed a Bachelors degree before getting a Masters degree. Beyond-star website doesn't look very professional. I found some info on this guy at the website below. To all that is contacted by this guy, please beaware of what you say and don't give out any personal information.http://www.plaxo.com/profile/show/51541272301 ... 06b88a856b699f4
Got a call from this guy. He sounds *****. I will not be returning his call. He even got the job wrong that I am looking for. ******........
This guy (Robert Topal) just called me about a job offer and wanted me to call him back when I got home. I smelled phish right away. He called me from (912) 376-6054. He told me he was working at a different location and that his phones had been transferred. He gave me (678) 608-7828 as a number to call him back at. He seemed to be in a hurry when we talked and that was another red flag. I found his website and realized it nothing more than a bunch of affiliate offers. He also told me he got my resume off a job board. Thanks everyone, I won't be waisting my time with this guy.
just ***g up. be prepared to be asked if you do drugs when you ask him about the position you've being interviewed for. robert is a clown.
he actually called me from (912) 376-6054 and told me to call him back at the number you guys are listing.
just got a call from him. i'm supposed to call him back for an engineering position in GA. i guess i'll be better prepared for the phone conversation after coming across this page.
After a few communications with Mr. Topal, I did get some postings sent to me. Close to 200 in a few days. Automotive technician on the other side of the state, entry level sales, refurbishment electrical technician and other things that I highly doubt would pay tuition for an MBA. What I don't understand is what he himself gets out of this? Despite getting peoples hopes up and having it go nowhere, what's the point of the phone calls?
I got the same thing. Appears to be a bunch of BS. I am with you in that I think he gets a percentage of how many peoople he can get to sign up for this BS. Was going to get me a position that would pay to go for an MBA. Never got the postings he claimed he was going to send but did get people calling about attending their school for an MBA.
I feel that Robert Topal is a joke.He said he had a job opportunity for me, but when I asked for particulars he told me he knew I wasn't serious about finding a job. When asked how he knew this he just said "Have a good day" and ***g up.He called me before and after talking to him for 30 minutes, he wanted me to sign up for some on-line education. He probably gets a percentage of the tuition.Beware of unsolicited phone calls.
This guy did everything exactly like the people here have described. It will always end up you visiting a site for higher education. thanks to everyone who figure this out.
Me too, I got call from this guy, and he was really patient to help me open the website, asked me to click "Education" then put my personal information. I did, but it didn't go through to the final page. But I worried I already typed in my personal information that he will get it. Will it be ok? Is that safe?
Yeah, this is a scam. I thought so****ing was funny when I could tell he knew nothing about the engineering field I work in. But there was no doubt when he was trying to talk me into taking the online cl*****. Not to mention, he came off as ******. He was using all kinds of unethical sales techniques.I hope people are not desperate enough to fall for this...
same thing happened to me today. i was home. i "interviewed" for 40 min. before they pointed me towards the site. that is when my need for a job was overcome by the smell of B.S. the site was http://topal.webs.com and the company is Beyond-Stari think is a scam related to online for-profit colleges. he wants you to fill out a form on the website about education before he would say much more. when i asked more he tried to guilt me into going further.stay away!
Same thing here
I got a call from the same person, he insisted that I be at home for our discussion and when I said I could talk right now he just said "ok have a nice day".I looked up the company and Robert Topal is the owner but his website is bizarre: http://topal.webs.comI****ume it is some scam, rip-off, phishing or exploitation based on how strange the brief conversation was. That is a***n "Beyond Star" or BeyondStar owned by Robert Topal. This last bit was just to make sure make sure people see this if they search Robert Topal or BeyondStar
They don't leave a message or say anything.
Called and claimed to be an employment agency. Asked a personal question and then said thank you, bye-bye.
