They can leave a message.  That's not regulated.  They can not leave any vital information regarding the debt/debtor.  To just say "I'm trying to reach John Doe" and "please return this call" is not a***nst the law one bit.  They should leave a message in my opinion.  I don't return any calls I don't know who they're from.

If your voice mail doesn't state your name and only lists a number, then the agency calling you can not leave a message because they do not know 100% who they are contacting (it's a Federal Regulation thing). If you do not call them back to let them know that they are calling the wrong number, you will continue to receive calls. I'd suggest giving a quick call back to let them know that they are calling the wrong number and your hassles will be over.

No.Will I ever call them back? No. If they need to contact someone, they need to leave a message.
