Leave a CommentI got the "Linda Crane in Canton, MO / tel # 573-288-5441 / postmarked Honolulu / I want to buy your company letter (Feb 2010). she's obviously still at it (I see some of these report go back to 08). I can't figure out her angle (perhaps corporate identify theft?)
No phone call, Received the offer to buy our company today, mailed from Hawaii - Linda Crane is spending alot of $$ on first class postage! Thanks to this site that we're not alone!
02-15-10 Just received same letter from 21499 State Hwy B Canton, MO 63435 telephone number 573-288-5441

She's moved and is mailing from Hawaii now.
Received a letter today from Linda Crane, 21499 State Hwy B, Canton, MO 63435 -She stated that "we are interested in purchasing your company. If you are interested in selling your company, please call (573)288-5441 between 8:00AM to 3:00pm, Central Time. She is going to be a busy girl!
My company is in Utah. I received a letter with a Flint, MI postmark dated Jan.31, 2009 from Linda Crane offering to by our company. I got a good laugh out of that. Phone # was 708-298-4648 (suburb of Chicago). Address listed in the letter was PO Box 164, Canton, MO 63435. So, postmark in Flint, MI, phone# Chicago, IL and address Canton, MO. Looks real legit. NOT!
December 30, date - did pay for postage!
"She or it" is still going strongRec Letter in PA with same phone Dated 12-16-08 Canton MO
In a typical day I win the lottery at least five times according to my email notices so it is not that surprising to get a letter from Linda Crane postmarked December 12 from Grand Rapids, Michigan. The letter was clearly a copy and I gave it a chuck.
I just recieved a letter from Linda Crane postmarked Flint Michigan dated Nove 19th 2008. This is clearly a scam and Linda Crane is a fraud.Dave
I received a letter for my executive telling us they are interested in buying our company. It was also post-marked from Flint, MI. The letter shows the same Canton, MO address on the very basic letter from Linda Crane.I went to USPS to do a zip code lookup, not entering in the zip code that was listed on the letter to see if the actual street address, city and state were legitimate. The USPS search says the address is not found. The phone number originates from Illinois. So the questions is, why would a letter from someone wanting to buy a company have the letter ship from Flint, MI, show a Canton, MO address within the letter and a phone number that is listed in Cicero, IL?Very fishy indeed!
Didn't get a call, but have gotten several letters wanting to buy this company. So****ing very much wrong with this Linda Crane. This should be exposed and the Federal Govt. should be looking into this.
Received a letter post-dated June 20, 2008 from Flint, MI. Letter stated that Linda Crane is interested in purchasing our company. Return address is 21499 Highway B, Canton, MO 63435. We have not received a phone call as of yet.
I got the letter myself,Odd indeed, The postmark is from Flint Michigan, The Phone number is from a Chicago Suburb, but the return address on the pre-printed envelope is from Canton MO.So what kind of scam is this?I called the numebr in early evening, got a recording saying my conversation may be recorded for quality****urance or training purposes, and then got forwarded to voicemail. Most likely a scam, I will call a***n and if they can tell me what my business does I might listen, if not I will reprt this as a scam to the proper authorities.
