Received a phone call on 9/14/2010 @ 4:28PM from what sounded like a charitable organization for our "State Troopers". You get these even if you are registered on the "Do Not Call List". They want you to support your "State Troopers" with an offer to accept a package of printed materials (window or ***per sticker maybe included) for a set amount of money but their may be more than one level of what sounded like a donation s****ing with a $30.?? dollars and some c****e. You need to ask questions about where and what this money is being used for. I know several law enforcement personnel who have stated that they have never benefitted from any of these "charitable" state trooper organizations. You should ask exactly what the name of the program is and their physical address. See if they are tax exempt with the I.R.S. @ www.irs.gov/charities or check them out at www.CharityWatch.org and www.CharityNavigator.org. Do your research along with asking them to take your phone number off their call list if you so desire.Caller: Unkown NameCall Type: Non-profit Organization
