This is just a audio verification system. Accidentally pressed "Call me and send code" when signing in on etoro and this is the number that called. Accidental calls are probably from users mistyping phone numbers.

They use your phone number during illegal transactions and when the number is called to verify its a working number and you answer, it verify your number for whatever transaction they are doing.

It was EBAY accounts team. Updating and verifying my acct info, phone number, email address. They call the number you give them to give you a verification code to type into your phone to verify it’s you. I asked them to call with the code.

called at 5:09 AM and they left voicemail with a 6 digit code

This was for my 6 digit code to access my paychex account

Caller hung up once answered, I suspect they wanted a ringback but that is never going to happen.

This number was the one used to call to verify my username for my sefcu app.

Verification came up on called id. Left voice mail says "2nd time sending this verification number" Total scam true to get you to call them back because it causes suspicion that someone's using your accounts. Don't fall for it! Total Scammer!!

Telegram verification number. I also received a text message with a six digit verification code a few minutes later but I didn't sign up for Telegram so clearly it's a bot/identity theft attempt.

Caller ID said “Verified.” Gave my son’s California address and gave a code number indicating a lawsuit. I live on Texas so caller somehow connected my son’s address with my phone number. Caller left an 888 phone number instead of the 714 number.
