they were looking for my husbands x wife...so i gave them her info..apparently she used us as a reference and didnt pay her debt..lol

Report this to your stat's atty general if you are being harassed. It is a violation of both the telephone consumer protection agency and the and fair debt collection comsumer acts.

Elizabeth Rec'd a voice message (not asking for me specifically by name) but indicating that this is regarding the scheduling of an arbitration hearing and I am either the defendant or a witness and to call T**** Caldwell within 48 hours re: this and left this number. Um,*****o? Would be nice to know who you think you're calling or where you're calling from don't you think?

This number calls me at least once per day. They are scam artists!!

I received a call from the same type - a heavy accent demanding that I pay some amount to some payday loan place that I have never even heard of.  I have never gotten a payday loan.  I told them that I would be contacting a lawyer about this and that they needed to provide this on paper otherwise it is illegal for them to call me and harass me.  They refused to send a letter and kept saying how they were picking me up today at 11am.  Yah okay... whatever... no one ever picked me up.  I told them to try picking me up.. especially since I knew they were using a fake number dialing in from an international backdoor number.  Don't let these people take advantage of you. He even called my work and harassed me there.  The only thing that I can think of to get rid of him is to c****e my number.  Since he lives in a different country what can we possibly do?

Laurie W These people just called my house telling my boyfriend who has a debt that if he doesnt pay by the 1st of Nov. that they are going to bring check fraud charges a***nst him!  Bull S**t!  They arent even located in the same state we are! Cambridge, Huxley and****ociates are using the "criminal charges" thing as a tactic to collect debt!  That is unethical and total BS! They cannot do that. If they could do that then every poor soul affected by the economy would be charged! These people are so****ing else! They cannot bring criminal charges and they arent fooling ANYONE! BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE AND DO NOT "BUY" WHAT THEY ARE TRYING TO SELL YOU!

Get a call from pa enforcement saying i had a payday loan unpaid and they were going to sue me. So i set up an arrangement. Then a clifton davis calls me from OH. Saying they cant do that agreement. Today i load my prepaid visa to see if they would take the money well they did. A profile management from new york with this number ***.

arkansas I received a threatening phone call from a man with a heavy accent, on my work phone, that rang directly to my desk.  He states that if I or my attorney doesn't call him back today, he will send "investigative men" to my work & "drag" me to the court house, where I will be locked up in jail for 10-12 months & that I owe $8000.  He does not give a name or state who is with other than "a law office".  I have indeed contacted my attorney.

They called to say i owed some kind of debt but couldnt tell me from where or when!!  Then when i told them i do not have any debt (paid off years ago) they threatened to have me arrested!!!  Asked for a name and they told me John Smith,  for real???  What kind of business is this?  DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE ANYTHING!!

I just received another call from them today.  The first time I received the call it did not sound right.  So I googled the name and number and came up with they were a collection agency.  Then I would receive a call maybe once a month saying this is MR so and so from rubin and yates firm, please contact us about a matter we have with you.  If you do not call us by the end of today, we will be forced to take legal action a***nst you in court.  Next time they called saying they needed to speak to me about sending a 1099 to my house for tax purposes.....if they have a my number they should have my address???  Today's call was over 2+ minutes, my voice mail cut them off after 2 minutes.  They said this is "The Firm" asking for me to get back to them by 6pm today to discuss this matter with reference code ???????.  If I have a lawyer, the fax over the lawyer information to ?????????.  They kept on using "The Firm" each time as they are suppose to be a law firm.  Law firm send do***entation, collection agencies call, it is that simply.  These clowns should go away, if you do not give them the satisfaction of talking to them.
