The name of my scammer was Kelvin Curt and the text message AND the email came from a hotmail account.  Same deal... sending me extra money and I need to pay the "shipper". I FORWARDED THE EMAIL TO [email protected]  I feel bad for elderly people who don't know better than to do this sort of thing.

Got the same message, same guy: Ruse Jones, promise to add $50 if you take it down. Don't do it! And thanks for blog post.

Did you ever get back with Nuchler Swifer? Is it a scam? I got an email from a Nuchler Swifer too, and have not replied. He just asked if the item was still available. I think if he was interested in the item, he would have asked for the particular item, so I haven't replied.

Same thing is currently happening to me but I have not provided squat and glad I looked things up first.  I don't need problems.  Any way to report this person?  If so to whom?

hahahaha i got the same phone number (which is who i found this thread), and the guy (who now apparently goes by Andrew Stevens) has offered the same $50 extra to hold the item for him and take it off craigslist. as with everyone else, he/she/it requested my name and address. ya right!!

I posted in Chicago and have been hounded for the last two days by Lioniel Mason. Zabasearch brought no information. I, however, told him everything that was already in my post: my name, number and address. Got someone on craigslist trying to buy so****ing from me here's the name and email address it came from Nuchler Swifer , they gave this # as a contact as well.

if you think it is a scam, its a scam.  NO ONE ACCEPTS CHECKS ON CRAIGSLIST.  nothing personal, if you gave him your information, you deserve to lose your money.  your people are ****ing me with your naivety.  seriously.

I have the same problem. I'm seelling on craigslist and this Lioniel Mason ([email protected]) with phone # 716-381-5517 is saying that he will pay an extra $50.00 if I take my ad off and that he needs my name address and phone #. these people need to be stopped! I have not received any calls though I have my # listed on the ad.

I am got the same thing.  Unfortunately I cashed the check he sent me.  I waited for CHASE to clear the check, which they did, and then a week later took the money out of my account.Take note of this as CHASE is trying to tell me that even though they cleared the check they are not responsible.

I'm getting the same thing.  A guy calling himself John Dipsy is using the phone number 7163815517 and saying he wants to buy so****ing from me off Craigslist in Portland and then offers to pay me $50 extra to pull the listing off and wait for him to send a money order.  Says he needs my name, address, and phone number.  Definitely sounds like a scammer.

I got a mail from this guy too.  He wanted to buy the item I posted on Craigslist and was willing to give $50 extra if I put down the add.  He asked my name and address and phone number which I ******ly provided.On the next e-mail he said that he hasn't paid the shipping company and would send me a check that includes both the shipping fee and my item price. I replied to him no thanks.I asked my bank and was told that if I were to cash in the check he's going to give, I will be responsible for the amount. Meaning I will not get my money plus I will actually be paying "the shipping company".Do you know what kind of information people can get simply from name and mailing address?

I don't know who it is, but I'm trying to sell an item on Craigslist in St. Louis and a scammer sent 7163815517 as their phone number. The name on the E-mail says ruse jones.

Unknown number to me.
