Leave a CommentAfter Googling this phone number, I learned that this is obviously a widespread scam. The yellow and black card left at peoples' doors has no business name. Because it has a (though quite illegible) tracking number handwritten on the bottom and specifies weekday 2-6 pm to phone them, I****umed it was a UPS slip. I have a "No soliciting sign on my door". This scammer obviously disrespectfully disregards that as well (or is ignorant and illiterate). In this day and age, my feeling is that anyone who goes door to door soliciting business is indeed a scammer.
I got a slip today. My wife was at home alone, and the perp tried to open the door. It was locked so he left a slip on the front door. I called the little man back and told him that he was not to show his face on my property a***n. He replied "are you threatening me?". He acted as if it was some sort of joke. I called the police dept. and they said you can call and make a formal complaint. She also told me it sounded like he had not broken any sort of laws. Don't reply to this, just ignore them. If they do open your door, do the right thing.....introduce them to Smith and Wesson. I'm sure they will learn.
I got the same card. I agree - it looked sort of like UPS. I called and didn't get an answer, so I decided to google the phone #. I'm glad to see all the same responses. I know in the future to just throw those cards in the trash.
yours says 3-7??? mine said 2-6..its all just scams
I just got one today or recently - it rang and rang. no voice mail. I called @ 12:40 pmThey did not ring the door bell.yellow card with black text. 2 check mark fields 1. "We will try a***n later"2. Please call mon-Fri Between 2-6PM (MST)phone 719-573-6838tracking number CC04********I intended to threaten to call the police if they traspassed a***n.
Live in Highlands Ranch. Just got the card in my door. Went outside to try to catch the *******s, but didn't see anybody. This has got to be illegal, or it should be.
Live in Highlands Ranch, looked like a UPS sticker, thanks for the advice, I won't call- that is very misleading
I just found this yellow card today in my door when I got home. Thanks for the advice. I thought it was a UPS delivery. Glad I checked this number out.
Got one today. Tossed it. Thx for the info. Isn't the Internet great?
Thank you for the info! I wont waste my time.
spammer/solicitor, do not call this number
i got one today as well, thanks for the warnings.
I got this same yellow "sorry we missed you" card on my door yes****ay. I was home, and there was no know or doorbell. Given all the other comments I'm reading, I'm definitely not calling this number!!!
I also received this yellow card which is intended to look like you missed a package from UPS or another delivery company. This is their way around the Do not call list becasue once you call them, it establishes a relationship and then they can call you for future advertising/soliciting. Even though you are on the do not call list, they will have proof you called them and because you have an existing "relationship" that will exempt you from the do not call list for this advertiser. I have heard from other people that have called the number this particular one was from ADT, but if it is someone paid to market for ADT it may open you up to recieving calls from the same marketing company representing other companies. So be carefull calling any number you are not familiar. Any reputable company will have their name printed on the notice.
I got a card too in the door. When I called the number outside the required hours the phone just rang and rang.
Yes****ay we got the same sort of yellow card in our door that was described earlier. Thanks for the warnings.
I got one too...thanks to this thread, I was able to have some ammo when I called...it went so****ing like this:Them: This is ________, how can I help you?Me: Hi, I got a notice on my door. You're with ADT, right? Them: Yes.Me: Well, I am on the DO NOT CALL list, AND I have a no soliciting sign outside my door. I need to make sure this doesn't happen a***n.Them: Yea, one of our guys got mixed up today. It won't happen a***n.Me: I can be certain of that?Them: Yes.Me: Ok, thanks.Maybe the key is to call, give no info, and get a little feisty...
got the same thing in my door tonight, looks like they are in the powers and dublin area working a scam, I better not get another one.
When you call the number, this guy will tell you that one of your neighbor's had an ADT Alarm System installed. Then he will try to sell you the system. What a misleading adverti*****t!
This is probably a theft scam they are wating to see if you are home are not, a great burglary tactic to see if you are home for three days and to check your door to see if it is open
Its ADT security systems. We even have a sign in the front yard - do not respond!
I got the same thing on my door. They don't even knock on the door. Its the second notice this week. Its a total scam. Do not call this number.
Got the same card on my door. Looks oddly like UPS, but doesn't have any company info. I will not be calling them.
Someone just slipped a note in my door made to look like a slip for a package to be delivered. All it says is "sorry we missed you" then a checked box saying please call mon-fri 3-7 pm MST. Then there's this phone number (719) 573-6838 and then a tracking number. Thing is, not only has anyone in my house ordered anything, but they didn't even knock. There's no company name on the slip. I've got my number on the do-not-call registry so it seems they've resorted to spam/fishing at random homes. I looked up the number on the card to verify if this was legit. Just throw anything w/o a reputable name on it in the trash and even if it looks real, don't give out any personal information.
When you call the number, this guy will tell you that one of your neighbor's had an ADT Alarm System installed. Then he will try to sell you the system. What a misleading adverti*****t!
Got a postcard left on my door, stating "Sorry we missed you" and asking me to please call m-f 3-7pm with a tracking #. Called and got a busy signal. I reversed looked up the phone # and it is a private land line in a residential area, specifically townhomes located in Colorado Springs, CO. Since it is obviously a sales call of some type, I will not be calling to find out what they want.
