Leave a CommentThis was a legit call related to my cell phone insurance plan. My debit card had passed the expiration date and it needed plating. The call was preceded by an email so it all checked out
Spam/phishing
If this was really Best Buy, then why does my Caller ID say Varolii Corporation? If if was a credit card company then they would not be calling, but sending an official notice in the mail. Those of you who think you're fooling us when you fraudulently place these messages on here need to simply shut up. We're not ******, you better be glad we don't decide to locate you and include you and a law suit a***nst this company. The company calls multiple times a day, I have not credit card, I have nothing to do with Best Buy. I just moved here, and have had this number less then a month before they began calling.
Not a scam, just a courtesy call. Wanted to let me know my cc had expired and to update my info to avoid my insurance being void.
this company is used to inform customers based on the number that was given them (your number) to reverify any outdated information in order to keep your insurance plan on your phone valid through bestbuy it does not leave voicemails. they cannot remove the number unless you answer and hit the prompt to remove it or speak to a clerk.
I also believe it is from Best Buy. I got my current BlackBerry & ins through them. I only got one call but no msg was left. I did move recently so maybe it is regarding the c****e of address. Even though Best Buy has my new info the company covering the ins may be run by a vendor who may not have gotten the c****e.
I have been getting calls from this number... I don't ever answer it, but it keeps asking if it is (insert my real name here) click 1. I just **** up. I figure if it is really important a REAL person will call me... not an automatic message from "Best Buy" or who ever they really are. I did however buy my phone from Best Buy and I do have their insurance, so after reading the other comments here. I called Best Buy directly via their official phone number just to make sure everything is okay there. They asked me to call back in 2-4 hours as they are updating their systems. So.. I cannot tell you if that is what is going on or not... but that is my story. Hope it helps.
BEST BUY - Calle3d them back ( 720-208-2064 ) and got them to give out a ton of information about someone that never had this number. Then I sprung it on them that I was in law enforcement and was making arrangements to take legal action. Never heard a "click" so fast in my life when them ***g up.Called them back and got a rep on the system, made a sale pitch to them and the worker almost s**t because I knew who she was - DUH she gave me her name at the beginning of the call - not the brightest people.Going to call them a few more times but in the mean time I blocked all the calls from that number.

I agree with Blair. I have never bought a cell phone from Best Buy. Maybe enough people have that they can run this scam calling random numbers.I would beware if I were you all.
Its got to be a scam... said it was best buy the insurance thing. my phone didn't come from best buy and never had insurance on it. so beware if you are a best buy customer dont fall into this it seems to be a phishing scam.
It's harmless. I received a courtsey call from Best Buy, notifying me that my credit card was no longer valic, and to update my information my service plan would not be terminated, that's all. My contract would be void if they did not receive the updated information and that would be a ***mer if my phone broke and had no insurance on it.
The following number continues to call and it's from Best Buy. I don't have card with Best Buy. When I call back or answer the phone they **** up most of the time. I want them to quit calling me.
This number is for the Best Buy cell phone insurance plan. I was called because my bank information was c****ed and they were not able to make withdrawels. I would never give any personal information to someone when they call. Only if I called them myself to make sure it was legit.
This # keeps calling our home phone. They do not leave a message or say anything when the phone gets answered. Have no idea who is calling us.
This is a telephone number from Best Buy concerning Cell Phone Insurance they offer to all new cell phone customers. If your credit card and/or debit card are rejected when they charge the insurance fee monthly, they will contact you. To stop these calls, just call Best Buy or go into your local store and cancel the insurance for the cell phone.
Called my brother's cellphone (used to be my number) and asked for me. Apparently it's a best buy collection agency. I've never carried any credit with Best Buy. I pulled my credit report and there is nothing on there about Best Buy, negative or positive. I'm not going to call back.
