These guys called with no CID and didn’t leave a msg., so I called them back and got a recording that they’re a collection agency. I hung up. I’ve checked my credit report with 3 Credit reporting agencies, TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. My credit is fine. My credit score from the three is a low 735 to 752. So I think this is some sort of fishing scam.

THEIR SCAM IS TO TRY TO SCARE SOMEONE INTO PAYING THEM MONEY VIA CREDIT CARD OR BANK ACCOUNT INFO. THE DEBTS THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO COLLECT ON HAVE LONG AGO EXPIRED. THE FEDERAL STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS EXPIRES ON UNCOLLECTED DEBT AFTER 7 YRS. DO NOT RESPOND TO THEM OR PROVIDE THEM ANY INFORMATION OF WHATSOEVER TYPE. REPORT THEM IMMEDIAELY TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION WHO AT PRESENT HAS IN EXCESS OF 6,000 COMPLAINTS. THEY HAVE TROUBLE TRACKING THEM DOWN BECAUSE THEY KEEP USING PHONE NUMBERS WITH VARIOUS AREA CODES. SCAM!

Johnson Claimed to be collecting a debt from 2001 from a company I never heard of. Wanted me to give e-mail addy. She would not answer basic questions that she should have about me. Beware...

Fry's Customer SRG - Strategic Recovery Group - is a collection agency. You can find them here... http://www.srg-i.com/services/debt-recovery/ it should be noted that they use different cell phones to call you with indicating that their collection agents could be sub-contractors using their own cell phones. i am making a database on my cell phone to keep track of all the numbers they call from.
