Sallie Mae continues to call despite my having asked to be removed several times from this list. Someone is going to have a string of bad luck if this doesn't cease.

A call was made asking for Michelle Platt (sp?) - a name I never heard until about a month ago when a company calling themselves Portfolio Recovery****ociates, Inc. s****ed calling asking for the same Michelle Platt.  After telling them calmly three time that there is no such person here, I blew my stack and yelled at the fourth caller.  PRA, as they refer to themselves on their website appear to be a debt collection agency.  They have stopped but noew this new outfit has begun calling for the same individual and, I presume, the same debt.I will contact the FTC to see if calls of this nature are covered.

I do not pick up calls I don't recognize until a person s****s a message about so****ing in which I have an interest. The only debt that is mine is a small mortgage on my house. Otherwise I have used up 100% of my credit line which equals ZERO.I am on the do not call list. There are several sources of these obvious phishing calls. I would like to stop them.

SAC is your gaurantor who insures the loans. If they are calling you you are getting ready to default wich is the last thing you want. They work with all lenders that they insure......not just sallie mae. To the lady who's complaing about them calling her cell for her husband i know how to stop it. Quit being deadbeats and PAY YOUR BILL!! makes me sick how you're crying about a company you probably owe alot of money to is tryin to collect it....grow up! and if you do just ignore it thats fine we will s**** garnishing your husbands paychecks and tax returns......bet we hear from you then!!

They call multiple times daily. I do not know the person they are asking for nor have ever had a loan with them. I explain this to them and they say they will update the account to take the number off, however, they never do. They say they are from a student loan corporation but will not give out anymore info.

I've received "Sallie Mae" phone calls for almost 2 weeks now. Within the past 48 hours, they have called me over 10 times alone! They ask if I know "krista" and I've told them repeatedly that I don't and that no one by that name lives in my house. I told them to stop calling me and the person got rediculously obnoxious and told me that "he's was in control" and he was going to continue calling. I spoke with a "supervisor" and told him to stop or I would pursue harassment charges. "Supervisor" told me he would take me off their call list. We'll see.

They keep calling and not leaving a message and my loans are on hold for a while. Is this a scam?

I called this number back to see why they were calling me after reading these comments. They asked for my social, which I refused to give them. They then asked for the number they were calling and my number did not come up in their system!! How is that even possible? They call me! I was asked if I had a loan with Sallie Mae, and I do not! My husband does, so they asked for his social! I would not give it out. There are too many phishing schemes or whatnot that to give out your personal information when they are calling you is not wise. All in all, they had no idea why they were calling me, my number was not in the system and they apologized!

The other day I finally answered MY cell phone and spoke to the 'Rep' who was looking for my husband. I explained he was not available. I took the 800 number from the lady. Everyday since then this number has called my phone beginning at 8am. We work nights and this is getting old. About 10 minutes ago I received another call. I explained to the lady we work nights and I would like them to stop calling my phone especially so dam early. She s****ed getting mad and told me she couldnt until they spoke to my husband.I repeatedly told them to just stop calling this number and she got irate and said NO. I am sorry but I am NOT going to wake him up to deal with this ****. Soooo ... this number has now been added to my REJECT LIST on the phone. Since she is refusing to take MY cell phone number out of the system I guess I will do what is necessary to IGNORE IT!!

Just received the call @8:06am. Since I don't answer unknown calls, I did find out who was making the call but they didn't leave a message, which is the mark of a telemarketer or similar scam.

Number calls several times a day, finally left message today. Most of the message was cut off but I did get a company name--USA Funds. Since the rest of the message was cut off, not sure what the call back is. I do have Sallie Mae loans but this isn't the number they call me from.

Two calls a day for last 3 months

Somebody, at least two people, must be into a scam or two. This same number called me today, actually about once a week for several weeks, asking for the make/model of my car and the VIN number, because, as the "Warranty Service Center", they want to keep my vehicle warranty in good standing. I ask for the name of the company that their "service center" represents, and they **** up on me. This is a Daytona Beach number. I think they would probably attach solicited VINs to stolen rental cars. I reported them to the FTC. "Do Not Call" will also accept this type of reporting.

I receive constant calls from this number, no voice on the other end, but loud static. This has to be some type of computer calling glitch they need to correct. It is a nuisance.

I am tired of receiving calls from this number at all times of the day and night. No one is on the other end of the line. No one leaves a message.

If people would answer your phone we dont ask for money we try to help if your having hard time because we know everyone does! The people are nice unless your rude to us! And to Brian if u didnt pay your loans for 3 years they would of defaulted and we wouldnt be calling you! So next time u skip this call think wheather your time is running out we stop calling once we bring your account current!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number is based ( orginated) out of the Muncie Indiana calling area. This makes sense since SallieMae's new tela service group is not located in this area. I do have some student loans through them and have been under soem pretty tight economic duress lately and not able to keep up with my students loan payments ( like I have for the last freaking 11 years)...oh well the economy ****s...what more can I say.

These calls are from Student****istance Corporation (SAC), a "corporate en***y" of Sallie Mae, which is the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (check out salliemae.com). Your government, in the form of SAC, is spending taxpayer money to hire these debt collectors. They get REALLY ****ed when you call them debt collectors, which is OK since they treat EVERYONE like dirt. They don't care if they call the wrong person -- even if you are not in default on Federal student loans, they will still treat you rudely, WITH THE BLESSING OF THE FEDERAL GOVT. They use extremely aggressive, but very typical, debt collector tactics, like bullying, intimidation, insult, and threats, EVEN IF YOU DON'T OWE ANY MONEY. BTW, Verizon Residential will not block their number unless I pay them for the privelege. Nice, huh? One way to combat SAC and Sallie Mae is to compain to your Congressman. This is Federal Funding used to bully and threaten innocent American citizens, and Congress should be aware. Gotten a few calls from this number and all I am getting is a lot of static when this number calls me then the line disconnects after a few seconds. I do have a loan with Sallie Mae as others have stated but my loan is current.

Continuously calling me, even though I am extremely up to date on my Sallie Mae loans (my next "due date" is actually six months away)...talked to a supervisor and they told me that their files update every 8 months, so, I will continue to get these calls for that long. Pretty ****** if you ask me. They blamed it all on Sallie Mae, stating that Sallie Mae sent them my information and stated that I was over 3 years behind on payments.

I've had two calls in the last two days asking for a someone with my last name but not the first name and I tell them they have the wrong number. Once seems reasonable to call and get a wrong phone number but twice in two days seems su****ious to me and that is the reason of filing a complaint.

They call at least twice a day.  Sometimes it's a recording.  Numerous times I have told them there is no one here by that name but they are rude and continue to call day after day.  I have told them I'm going to bring a law suit if they don't take my number out of their system.

Various calls.  2-3 rings and then they **** up.  No messages.  I am not sure what the purpose of their system is unless it is to be able to say later that they tried some odd number of times with no success and record to go along with it.

Hello everyone. I just got a call from these people today on my cell phone. I did not answer in time. I am a very weary person so I phoned them back and let the recording connect me. A gentleman answered I asked him who he was and what was this company. He asked me my phone number (which I blocked out) when I called and my name. I said I need more info on who YOU are for all I know your some scam artist. So to make a long story short he gave me this web address www.solutions.usafunds.org. I checked it out and its for student loans. I do have a student loan for Sallie Mae but I will definitely call Sallie Mae and confirm their affiliation with this company before I pursue any further. I would suggest others do the same too.

I've been receiving calls from this number for the last 3 weeks every evening including weekends.  My caller ID picks up the number, but they never leave a message.  I finally decided to pick up the call to tell them to put me on their do not call list.  They claim to be affiliated with the lender of my student loans.  They wanted me to give them updated information about myself and I refused.  I tried to explain that there is no reason for me to speak with a 3rd party when I talk directly to the lender on my own.  I asked them to put me on their do not call list.  They said that it is impossible and they will continue to call me.  Is this harassment or what?  What's the point?  Oh and when you do answer the phone, they put you on hold while they find someone to talk to you.  Crazy!

they call every day wanting someone with the name of Zuniga Moore, inform them that they have the wrong number.  At first they would question me about who I am.  I do not owe student loans.  I graduated 20 years ago.  they continue to call my cell phone number.  I don't answer anymore.

I have been receiving calls from this number for awhile; but most recently on 10/13 at 9:32am & 11:12am; 10/12 at 9:24pm & 8:04pm; 10/11 at 8:18pm and 9:17pm; 10/10 at 9:34pm; & 10/09 at 9:25pm & 9:07 pm.....I do receive the calls daily, and sometimes very early in the morning.  Of course, I never answer and they never leave a message.
