Whatever you do, DO NOT give this number ANY personal info.  And if you already have, you better contact the credit reporting agencies asap to get a freeze on your credit.  This Indian sounding man told me my Verizon bill was in default (kind of funny considering I'm not a Verizon customer) and was asking me to provide SSN, DOB, address, etc.  I told him he'd better never call my house a***n.  I then contacted Verizon, who said this was a definite scam.  They refered me to my local police department, who hopefully will get this taken care of (though unlikely considering the call is from out-of-state).
