Called my phone number, didnt leave a name - just humg up, it is annying when they call your phone. They must be selling so****ing. Do not answer the phone.
Got a call from this number last night on my cell asking for "Mary"...I informed them they had the wrong number and they promptly got off the line, however it was clearly from a call center as I could hear the background noise
I'd like to file a complaint a***nst phone number 773-358-1470
Same message as others have received. I live in *****chusetts and I want these calls to stop. It is so annoying.
I just got the same message, word for word, on my answering ma****e. Makes you wonder if you really did enter so****ing somewhere. But, when I googled the phone number, it brought me here, so I do suspect a scam. The caller ID came up "Sams, Tamara". Checked that out and there seems to be a photography studio in Chicago that goes by Tamara Sams Photography. I am not calling them back even though I could use a new car!!
Kristy from Mitchell's Communications Group tried telling my ***her that he won one of 3 amazing prizes from the entry he submitted to them. Left the same callback # with extension. BBB has moved the company up to A- rating since most of the complaints were from over 36 months ago (as long as the BBB keeps tabs) and two complaints were "resolved" relating to "sales practices".My old man is in his late 60's. Never enters any contests, let alone any run by an Advertising/Mass mailing firm out of Chicago. Don't call the number back, as you will just alert them to a live, gullible body awaiting more scam calls.
Same thing happened to me. Same story as above and was told I had to give phone verification to allow them to use my name in publications as the winner of the car or money. I informed him that it would never happen and he got really angry and said so****ing like: "why would you enter a contest if you won't even claim your prize when you win, that ******ity." I informed him that I didn't appreciate the unsolicited phone call and that he could promptly go **** himself. He ***g up.
same thing, message on the answer phone. jeez, if they really want to ***** us over you think they'd sound a bit less like crooks when they call, this guy was a real dodgy geezer.
Third time in 3 months I got a call from them. Say I won a Ford Explorer and said I sent in an entry form. LIE! Never did. Told them to remove my number off their list. Argued with me that I entered the contest. Told them I requested my number be removed the last time they called Rhonda said she never called me before. Called the number back and requested they removed my number, kept saying I sent in the entry form. Told them I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST. They said I sent the form in 12-18 months ago yet the address they have I haven't lived at for over 3 yrs.
I just received a call from 773-358-1470 on my home phone. Caller Id read Mitchell Commun
I just received a phone call from Mitchell Communications. I ***g up on them.
won a car actually was a time shareing scam
I got the exact same message today, word for word. Must be reading off of so****ing.my call said Mitchell Communications on the ID.
Told me that I have won 1 of 4 prizes. Lincoln Navigator, Overnight stay at hotel with $100 food voucher, $2500.00 in cash or a 32" Flatscreen TV. Had to pick up in Mansfield,MA. 3/19 @ 6pm Will recieve confirmation email must print letter and bring with me. Never recieved any email and I have called them 3x's ----Scammers!!!!!!!!!
My parents recieved a call from this place yes****ay explaining the same thing. They had entered a contest 12-18 months ago and they had won a car. They said in the message that they were trying to contact them to come get their prize in a city that is an hour or so from us. They call from the 773 number but ask to be called back at 877-279-3457. The caller said they needed to call extension 121. His name is Mr. McIntosh. Mr. McIntosh was, evidently, very nice to my parents when he made his OBVIOUS cold call to lure them in. My dad, THANKFULLY, asked me to look into this. After googling and reading several websites about this "Prize Center", I saw where there are some pretty shady deals going on but that the "owner" of the company will post on these sites from time to time to let people know that they ARE NOT scammers and how the person posting missed out on their prize and that the runner up had been notified and was now enjoying the prize. Right. *I* called Mr. McIntosh today and after several attempts at rea****g him and only getting a voicemail, I left him a very detailed message stating that my parents would not be there and he was NOT to call them a***n and should he have any questions, he could contact me directly. Evidently, Mr. McIntosh took some offense to my being direct about this because when he returned my call and after giving me his sales pitch as to why he called my parents to begin with (Imagine...so many people filled out this alleged entry form EXACTLY 12-18 months ago! How neat!), he became quite annoyed with me and the only thing he would say to me is "Why you gettin' at***ude wit' me?" Which, in my opinion, is an extraordinarily professional way to express oneself and ask a question. After reiterating the fact that my parents would not be attending and he was not to call them a***n, and several more courses of "Why you gettin' at***ude wit' me?", I simply ***g up on him. Nice job, fellas!! And for the record...I "get at***ude" with people when I feel that older folks are being preyed upon.
I got a call on my cell phone saying 'you entered your name within the last 12-18months & are eligible for a free car - please call back ASAP,as this is the last time we will contact you. We are not a telemarketer, this is not a scam & we are aware of the donotcall.gov call list. The lady (Shontell)left a call back #
Have recevied two calls within the last two weeks with the following 'Urgent' messages - 'you entered your name within the last 12-18months & are eligible for a free car - please call back ASAP,as this is the last time we will contact you. We are not a telemarketer, this is not a scam & we are aware of the donotcall.gov call list.' I've not entered my name in any drawing nor do I need or want a "free" car!
I received same message, I recall using my phone number on craigslist for account verification. No I have not entered any contest just bought cell phone in January 2010 today is only Feb 19 2010.
Got a call on February 12 from the so-called "Prize Fulfillment Center" at 773-358-1470, claiming that this was the fourth time they'd tried to reach me (not true) for an entry that was made in my name to win a car (make and model not specified). The caller went on to say that I was definitely eligible to win one of four prizes if I called back to
I too just received a call from them, I do not enter my name into any sweep stakes or drawing contests. I will not call back. This has to be a scam
Hi this is Aeichae calling from the Prize Fulfillment Center. I have made numerous attempts to reach you regarding an entry form that was filled out in your name within the last 12 - 18 months to win a new car. This will be my last attempt to notify you that your name was pulled as a winner and we are going to award you one of our top four major prizes. It would be in your best interest to give me a call back asap. My number is toll free so call me at 877-279-3457 x114. Now, we are not a telemarketing agency or a time share and this is not a cold call so please do not ignore this message. I'm very aware of the do not call list so I wouldn't be calling unless you actually entered. This is a time sensitive matter, so I do look forward to hearing from you. Once a***n congratulations Skyler my name is Aeichae, I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you have a great day.
got the same call saying that my son entered his name 12-18 months ago and she was aware of the "do not call list". I am sure the time limit, even if my son contacted them, is much shorter than 18 months. They can't even lie right. ;)
Just got this call on my voicemail said to call her back at 877-279-3457 x1166 Julia Jones. She said it is not a scam and that she is aware of the do not call list. They are scamming so****ing!!! My caller ID showed up 773-358-1470
Received the same call with the same info about attempting several times to contact me. The guy that left the message was named Kevin from the "Prize Fulfillment Center" from phone number 770-358-1470. He stated to call him at phone number 877-279-3457 ext 123. I have not had this phone number for very long, so I KNOW they are full of it. If I do enter sweepstakes, etc, I use my cell phone, not home. Just what we need, another scam,,,,,
Got a call on 14 January from the so-called "Prize Fulfillment Center" at 773-358-1470, claiming that this was the fourth time they'd tried to reach me (not true) for an entry that was made in my name to win a car (make and model not specified). The caller went on to say that I was definitely eligible to win one of four prizes if I called back to 877-279-3457 x106. The caller only identified herself as "Shakoor". I called the number and only got a voicemail, for a different person, a male, by the last name of Watkins. I tried several adjacent extension numbers, a***n only getting voicemails from different people, and not "Shakoor". The 773 area code is for Chicago, which automatically makes the whole thing look like a scam, which I strongly suspect it is.
The message said I won a car... The only thing I have registered for was a job.
Got a call from this number. The caller did not leave any message.
