I received the message: university of illinois emp CU alert: your card has been deactivated. Please contact us at ( 800 #) to reactivate your card. Who are these clowns?! I don't have any affiliation with the university.
9/22/2009 8:32 pm Eastern Daylight savings Time. This was also a text message, saying virtually the same thing as that detailed by "jen." - "Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED ..." This is especially pernicious, because at first I thought it had so****ing to do with either a university ID card or a credit card affiliated with that university. Apparently, though, this is spam and they are just trying to get you to call them.
