All - Log complaints @ https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx The more complaints that are logged, the more the government can do to prosecute these companies. I've gotten calls from 800-224-8606, 786-347-6129, 714-689-0256 and 443-345-1636. All these numbers are "*****" caller id numbers. The caller is in several violations of the FTC's directive. See the FTC's Website: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/telemarketing/tel19.shtm “Companies that you do business with may call for 18 months. If you ask a company for information, it may call for three months.”“Telemarketers must tell you it’s a sales call, the name of the seller and what they’re selling before they make their pitch.”
Constantly calling - will not leave message
They keep calling our house. The calls stopped for a while when i threatened legal action, but recently they s****ed happening a***n. today the even called 2 times.
This number has called my cell phone numerous times in spite of my phone being registered with the national do not call list.
S****ing to get calls from this number. Didn't answer and found people had complaints. This seems to happen to my cell phone every 6 mths for a week or two but I am getting calls from 4 diff #s now - which is unusual.
Multiple calls from this number. All appear to be fake, receive at all times of the days, several times each day.
Unwanted calls to a private cell number on the national do not call registry. They call my cell 12 times a day. Leave no message. And when I try to call back the phone rings once and ****s up.
Called and said*****o and went silent. Loser. 9/10/08 2:30pm
He claimed to want to buy my timeshare if I was interested in selling. I informed him that my number was on the National Do Not Call Registry. He said, rather impertinently that "he did not care." I told him I did and he disconnected the call.
calling and asking for wrong person and this is using up my day time minutes...also they are VERY RUDE....
When I asked if they ever checked the "do not call registry" the caller said "no" What good is the registry since it can be ignored with impunity?
I have various domain registered for my business(es). I get calls about a few domain names from the same lady saying she is from "Domain Registration" and wants my fax number to send me so****ing regarding "updates." She says "updates" are regarding information from renewals to c****es in laws. DO NOT GIVE YOUR FAX NUMBER (or any other info) TO PEOPLE YOU HAVE NOT BEEN DOING BUSINESS WITH.
On 8/19/08 at 1:15pm EST I got a call from a woman with a heavy East Indian accent asking if I owned my domain and she had some important information to fax to me in regards to it. I told her I did not have a fax and if this is about an electronic media why would they need a fax, send me an email. I argued with her for 3:21 and then ***g up one her. Obviously some sort of scam but what do they want a fax number for? When I tried to call the number back from a landline it picked up and went dead. A***n what is the purpose of this type of call and what the***** are they doing?
Got a call from a woman with a heavy Indian accent. 4 calls in 2 days. Two calls from "Unavailable" Happened right after noticing a Trojan on my home computer, a key logger. I have c****ed all account information due to this. Still working on removing the Trojan, but the computer has no communication with anything else right now.
Indian accent caller requested my fax #. I did not give it. I requested that they forward to the e-mail address in the registry.
Received a call but no one said anything. So I ***g up. I've been getting along of SCAM calls lately!
I got a call from this number today about my domain name. They asked for a FAX number which I didnt give and then they ***g up. They knew my name and my domain. Weird!
Best way to deal with these clowns is post their telephone number all over the web for bar***n products apartments etc Make a real hot deal advert and post in a forum somewhere and then before they know it thousands of calls are calling an 800 that the scammer is paying for
unwanted call
Domain scam. Identified company as Domain Registry Services/Solutions/Support -- some such. When pressed for main phone number and mailing address, "Vincent" ***g up on me.
called didnt speak english and ***g up
They have been calling my cell phone 3-4 times per day and basically ****ing up. When I try to call back they **** up after a few rings and never answer. If this continues I plan to report them to the police and the FTC.
They called, but did not respond. I called buck, it picks up for a second and then ****s up... What is that?
Caller from this number calls 5 times a day and never leaves a message. Tried to call back and the line just goes dead. Very frustrating.
This IDIOT has been calling my cellphone number twice a week (every Thursday at 11Am and 11:30AM), never leaves a message and never resonds when I answer...just ****s up. It is amazing such ignorant people actually know how to dial a phone!!
Asked for personal info. Obvious scam.
Asking for personal information
I've had calls from this number a few times now and when I pick up, it ****s up. I tried to call it back several times and it just goes to "Call Ended".
Man with a heavy East Indian accent, who claimed his name was "Andy" called & was asking if I am the owner of my domain name. (He mentioned one of the websites I own.) I told him I owned that domain. He then kept pressing me for my fax # so he could fax me some "paper". I did not give him a fax # & he finally ***g up. He did not provide any information about who he was, other than his name was "Andy". I strongly urge you to not give any personal information to anyone from this number!
Extremely heavy accent, wanted to know if I am the owner of, kept wanting my fax number. I said I own that domain, but he wouldn't tell me who he was or why he was calling, ***g up when I pressed it.
This is a caller from a domain registration service, asking for your fax #. It is a scam, do not provide any personal information.
they keep calling me.for auto loan that didn't want.
Two calls fom this number with silence on a line I have which I use only when I need to list a number on public-record do***ents. Calling the number back did not connect to anything. Probably a scam.
I have an idea I did it to the "Grant calls" and never heard from them a***n.I do get calls from others like this one too but this is what I am s****ing to do.The next time they call DO ALL the ASKING , ( It is ok to be angry ) .Take their time up make them spell it out.In a call center they get into trouble for long "TALK TIME" and no sale.Their name or operator #The supervisors name The name of what it is they are selling Their company na****e name of the company they are do in the telemarketing for. Then look them up on the internet and complain to them for hiring such ***'s Many companies that hire them have websites. The mailing address Their email addressAn alternate Phone to call them back ( Besides the one on the caller ID )Just don't let them talk much, answer any questions. Don't confirm any information for them!Tell them you want the information for the FCC and FTC.Asked them if they have ever looked up their phone # on the internet and that they should do that and will see just how many people are ****ed at them..,,,,,, and before they can say any thing else END it with thank you for your time and information and **** up on them.Take the information and go to the FCC website there is a place to report the information to the FCC.I did this to one they haven't called since.WE ALL NEED TO FIGHT BACK!If this word gets out and allot of people do this to them it will cost them more money for calling.I have been posting this only for the calls I have been getting Can't be a spammer now.
These callers are using my 800 # so I end up paying for their harassment! Called my phone provider when I saw other strange numbers on my phone bill and they called it and those at the other end promised to remove my number from their calling list within 72 hrs....we'll see. Let your phone service provider do the calling in case of being an international call and you getting billed. If I find this number on my phone bill I will definitely report it to my provider.
They called me twice today. I tried calling them back and I get ***g up on.
called - nothing said
answered phone and i could hear a woman cough and then she said "hello?" as if she couldnt hear me...then she ***g up
January 8, 2008 11:30 AM A Mrs Nancy Wilson called from Union Consumers Benifits, Medical Department and said that since I was getting social security that I would get a new benefits card and she needed to know what bank the social security was sent. She was wery insistant and finally ***g up after about ten minutes with some nasty remark.I suspect that if I had given her my banks name she would then have wanted the account number. I wasn't born yes****ay.
Continues to call every 2 hours. I tell them the person they're asking for is unavailable, and they refuse to give a name or leave a message. The person is a male with a heavy accent.
Call,,, pause....difficult to understand, possibly India, concerning the name of my web site (phone number), asked to repeat many time. wanted to fax me, but had no fax to give them, wanted a fax where I could be reached, finally spelled out "domain registry support" and told me tocall 1 800 591 7398. when I asked their name and where they were calling from and why, there was no answer and line went dead.CALL RECEIVED IN PITTSBURGH AREA ~1:30 P.M. 1/3/2008I gave no information, but he had my phone number. who knows what else.
Here's a question: Has everyone on here registered a web site that has the phone number listed that they are calling you at? I think they are getting the number from our web sits registrations.
I got a call from this number but just missed the call, and now I am glad I missed it.All I have to say to them is this, "The Lord rebuke you, your lives always be in poverty, you will always be in poor health, your reward will be where all liars go,your name will not appear in the book of life it will be redacted". Signed with the signant ring of the King of kings, Jesus!
Just got a call from 8002248606 at noon - dead silence for about 10 seconds then the line went dead
Called using information off of the WHOis for a website I have, wanted current information which like an idiot I gave him, when he s****ed in on email address, however, I asked him a***n who he represented and still couldn't understand his asian accent but it was so****ing like registry" but I know that the Internet registerants don't call you. Whenn I've tried to call them back, there is an asian female voice asking for a 4-digit number. I've tried several combinations but it always ****s up. I don't like these people.
Just called my mobile phone, same poor female Asian accent. Claimed to be with the company that handles the domain registration for my web sites, but couldn't give me the name of the company! Wanted to verify my info and a wanted a fax number to send me some critical info in the next 24 hours. This was obviously bogus. They said they couldn't email because their server was getting new virus software. When I said I hadn't used a fax in 5 yrs (true) she said that was Ok. I then asked if it was so important, why couldn't they give me the info over the phone? She didn't have the info. I asked if they would email once their computer was fixed, and she said yes.Sounds like it is a iden***y theft ploy.
I had a missed call a few minutes ago and then another just came in that was similar - the first number I missed was 118002248606 and they called a***n just now with 118002239113 - i think the calls are coming in from outside the US because they are using the international code prefix "1" to get into the USI answered the second - an oriental speaking man said*****o and I replied with "Operator, Trace this call..." - he ***g up immediately.
Received phone call wanting to have *** woman or man poor accenttold him he needed Jesus in his life and not to call this numbera***n.What is wrong with soceity today there are plenty of places to go for *** without calling innocent people,My Granddaughter could have taken the call. sorry just wanting to vent
I have been receiving calls from this number all week and usually there is a 10 second pause then nothing. But today a man came through and I drilled him for his name and company name. He gave me what I beleive to be a fake name of Michael Thomas and a makeshift company name of Medical Dept. of Senior Citizens. Of course that makes no sense. He also became very angry and when I grilled him for information. I told him that I suspected a fraud and I was going to report him. He then said "well how about this..." then ***g up. I called the number back several times, but a voice recording asks for a 4 digit extension and regardless of what I entered the number just ****s up. This is an obvious scam and I think they are fishing for ss#'s and other personal info. The guy that called me said I sounded like a senior citizen, he couldn't have been more wrong. They must be just calling numbers at random.
ya, I got the call a few minutes ago. it was a man with a poor atempt or a asian accent that kindda terned into a Tony Montana voice.... tryed to insault me so i terned the TV to a sope and put the phone next to the TV.....
1:20PM, 12/6/2007. Number has called several times this week. I finally answered the call, and the line remained silent for about 10 seconds before eventually ****ing up.Calling the number back only gives a recording asking for a 4-digit extension. I tried several times to get one that would go through, but was never successful.
Called @ 3:52pm CST on 11/29/2007 & wouldn't speak when I answered. I said "Don't call if you're not going to talk", then they ***g up. Dialed the number back and a recording with a bad accent said to enter a 4-digit extension.
Number 800-224-8606 called me on my cell, a female with Asian/Filipino accent trying to verify my home address that she recited to me as correct. Call quality was bad and I could not really understand her clearly. I replied: "I am not the person you need to speak to, you will have to call back." I suspected this was some type of ID theft or ID verification scam, asking if you are connected to your cell number via your billing address. You may have posted your cell number at some web site you think is legit. Many sites sell ALL of your data these days. Many other sites offer reverse phone number look-up. This is how scammers get your address.
can you tell me who is calling my mother
