Irritated Message on my answering machine said it was an emergency call, that my license key was expiring. Wanted me to call 1-800-264-9080; however, my caller ID showed the caller was from 1-800-230-7020. Bogus!!

Called again and left no message.

They ask for Jack Morton and if I know him and NO I DON'T, so quit calling me.

They call daily, usually just a little after 8 am. When they leave a message, it is incomplete, something about location information.

Someonne from this number has called me twice looking for the same person. The first time I talked to them, I told them that I was not the person they were calling for and they had the wrong number. I also told them not to call back. Well a couple weeks later they called back and asked for the same person and i told them again!!! They wouldnt even tell me where they were calling from. They need to stop calling my phone unless they would like to pay my phone bill for using my minutes!!!

called me and said that they would garnish my wages if I didn't have a "qualifying" payment ib two days.  I checked federal laaw and then talked to the lady again, explained to her that I couldn't make the "qualifying" payment and that I would send in some money (student loan) and when they wanted to work it out with me, then I'd talk to them. I also wrote the the company 'Windham Professionals' and the student loan people about how I was treated.  I got a call back a few days later with a completely different tone, and was told that the payment I had said would be fine.  Know the law before you talk to these people, they can be bullies.

They keep calling my home no matter how many times i tell them i don't know the person they are looking for. Today they told me it has not been them that keeps calling me,that this is thier first time calling. Funny that I have them on my caller ID and have spoke to someone from this number about 5 times this week. They also refuse to tell me how they recieved my number in the first place. If this does not stop i will be forced to take futher action against this company.

I get a call from this 800-230-9596 number each and every day, sometimes more than twice a day.  The only message is in a woman's voice: "230-9596 thank you."  Apparently, they have the voice automated response to start the message before the tone on the voice mail box. I called the number and used *67 first to block my caller ID. There was an automated answer: "Thank you for calling Nation Credit..."

This is the number that was given to me by the Grant Funding Search company, and they told me to call them if I had any questions, and when I called that number it was forwarded to a completely different company who claims to have no affiliation with them. The Grant company had charged me and now I can't even call them back.

This number calls my home anywhere from 4-6 times per day...I did answer it once but it is just a recording. So I called the number and they asked what number I was calling from and when I gave it they asked me if I was Rosemary somebody. I told them that no Rosemary lived here and they actually told me that I needed to have Rosemary call them back Mon - Fri at this 800-230-9596 number. I again repeated that I did not know anyone by that name, nor did they live here and told them to quit calling me. They said that this was the number they were given and they would call until Rosemary could be reached. I am calling the phone company to file harrassment charges, but in the mean time the calls keep coming.

This is a trap line to catch your number, only good if they want to bust your number billing address, yes they can do this but it is illegal

I get this on my cell.  Most of the time it is an automated "If your name is..then a computer voice draws it out..." I rarely answer it...just to hang it up. I find it stupid that when they get the voice mail it continues...come on.  Once in a while it is someone wanting to verify "location information" and won't say who/why they want it. Sorry, not giving it.  They call several times a day...sometimes before 8am.

Yep - same thing here.  Caller ID shows 602-567-7000; they left a message looking for "location information" from me and asked me to call 800-230-9596, extension 1112 - like the extension matters at all.  I'm sure it's Amex - I have some unfinished business with them.The sad thing is that I came thisclose to calling them.   Too bad for them that I decided to do a quick lookup!

This company is calling me almost daily even though they have been told I am out of work and trying to get SSI and have no way to pay them while I recover from surgery. They started around Christmas of 2007, called the day before and after and multiple times during the holidays and continue to call even though they are perfectly aware they are not going to get a dime out of me. One of their operators rudely told me to borrow money to pay them after I said I had to borrow money just to get food. I am willing to pay off my debts as I have in the past, when I am able but they hound me even knowing I cannot do anything. They are making my recovery harder due to stress. In the last year I had a cardiac event, thyroid storms, surgery, 2 biopsies, a tumor removed and I still face another procedure, but they hound me even knowing all of this. They think it is better for me to starve and not get fixed and to pay them when I have nothing. On principle, they will be the last people I pay a single dime when I am on my feet again. They can screw my credit...I don't care anymore because they have made my health worse and caused me to have so much stress my liver enzymes shot up with no known cause, leaving stress as the culprit.

got a call...probably the 1001 time asking for "location information for bob ****" , and left 800-230-9596 x 1826, Cheryl Brown (ethnic sounding, if you get my drift) and forcefull like a cop's voice...sounds threatening...OK, I owe them 1200...it seems like it's a million $$$$$....times are hard, but they don't care...since they already charged off the account it will never help my credit score if I pay them or not

These people call me at least once a week and I am tired of it. If it don't stop soon I will file a law suit against them for harrasment.

They just started calling my cell. I have had this number for 6+ months and they have never called. I dont usually put this number down as a contact number. Dont know how they got it.

They call my cell phone several times a day. They will not leave a voicemail. When I call back the number they say John Berry & Associates and then put me on hold. I'll sit for about 3 min and hang up. I do not have time to sit on the phone waiting so they can either leave me a message and what this call pretains to or they will not get me, period.

Called my work saying that they had an important matter to discuss which would soon be forwarded to my payroll department.

I believe it's AMEX, they also use 904-396-6994, 602-567-7000.  It's AMEX way of harrassing you - they give out your info to third party collectors and have them call and harrass you.  AMEX is a nightmare!!!  I'm working with a debt management program and AMEX is the only one that won't work with them - they prefer to charge an obscene interest rate and late fees - and offer no help whatsoever.  My boss just cancelled them because they charged him a late fee on his yearly membership fee - and they sent another statement (after he cancelled) with another late charge attached!!!  AMEX is a SCAM and they're in the business of ripping people off.  If you're looking to get a credit card NEVER get a AMEX - the worst one out there.
