TJ Got a call from this number but there was no one on the line to answer. I called them back and found out they are a Debt collection company. They had the wrong number. I was surprised when they said, get this....."Oh, I'm sorry.....I will take your number out of our database." Holy cow!! I about fell off the couch!
reply to message with stop check your phone bill very carefuly look for charges for 10 to 20 $ may be listed as 3rd party services or so****ing like that. some on line tests that ask for your # to text your results will charge you via your phone bill also if you are getting jokes and such sent to you by people you dont know check your bill

Been in the telecom industry, I can tell you s****ing is illegal, you can always use other resources to follow thru. You may want to contact The US attorney general, the FCC as well as the FTC. Also if this is interstate you can actually contact the FBI. Based on the law, they cannot contact you at your place of business. They are only legally able to contact you at your home; you can also send a stop and desist letter via certified mail.Record their conversation, when you speak to them if you do, many of them have no clue of the law and make drastic mistake threatening people. They can't make any statements in which they can destroy your credit, call your family, call your work and or tell everybody that you have debts and you do not pay, this is protected by the law. In this case now you have the upper hand, as now they open the door for a lawsuit, you can actually sue the person that called you as well as the company as they are liable for any statement of guaranty that they make, almost any attorney will take this type of cases on contingency. Is an infringement of your rights and punish by law. This people use scare tactics to scare people and even collect many times the same debts that have been paid previously.The reality is nothing that they can do to you, if you do not or can't pay, they must take you to court and get a judgment a***nst you, and then they need to be able to collect. 1-(800)-287-7626 is currently used by Yestel, an Asian long distance service. Probably the same as the Ca***ian company. These kind of companies often use buildings for setting up telemarketing war rooms, and are more likely centered elsewhere off s****. For all we know, these kind of services, and many calling cards too, may be eavesdroppers trying to phish information. My wife used a calling card for an Asian service, and every political comment she made was twisted into jokes by the opposite parties in news reports, and often by the politicians themselves. If you use one of these services, beware of what you and your other party talk about. I suspect that the wire tapping is ramped. I was able to hear tapping equipment noises when the services were used, including the breathing and ****up clicks of the eavesdroppers. The caller from Yestel was using a pushy kind of sales tactic. Seems a little shady to me. Be careful!

I've been doing my own investigating since getting these calls, and I have come across many posts on the internet about a scam artist claiming to be from the Daily News. The calls used to come from a Long Island area code, and are now coming from this 800 number. So****ing needs to be done about this.
