Don't trust this number. I received a static-filled "courtesy call" from a "field technician" (ESL) because he had a work order to cut off my power to replace a meter or due to non-payment. I was told to call this number to verify. When told by a rep to pay a bill at a RITE AID rather than my local utility company, I knew for certain that so****ing was phishy and questioned him. He immediately became "too busy" to continue and ***g up.
Caller only identified themselves as Allied Interstate.I asked for the nature of the call would not tell me anything until I give them personal information! I did not and told them to call my attorney and NOT to call a***n.

They call at least twice per day for months, do not answer, scam, pre-recorded message
called them back today after my mom called to let me know that they had left her a message minutes after they left me one. How emberassing, I can't believe they didn't allow any time for a call back, I mean seriously! For all they know I could have simply been in the shower or so****ing... Anyway, the company that called me was simply a relatively "local" process server company that was contracted by RMG which is the legal office that was contracted by my creditor. They were very nice, professional, and helpful. They explained that a creditor was trying to get a judgement lein to garnish my wages for an old debt because the statute of limitations was about to run out on them collecting it and that the creditor had been mailing me letters with settlement offers. I explained I hadn't received a single letter. Turns out they were still sending corespondence to an old address from 8 years ago because they never updated my address when I gave them new ones. They put me on hold, got on the phone with the creditor to see if the settlement offer was still on the table, came back to me and let me know that it was, e-mailed me the letters and the proposal, let me research it, called them back and they took a check over the phone right then and there. On top of that the creditor gave a 66% discount, the amount ended up being less then the actual debt was before interest(obviously that would depend upon your creditor...) RMG gave me all the information that I needed and even some that I didn't know I would need. They were very neutral and helped me out just like your own attorny would. Plus, if you ignore them and let it go all the way through court, not only will you get hit for the full amount of the bill plus interest, you will also get hit with the cost of legal expenses and fees that the creditor had to spend just to get the judgement! Yikes, that would be expensive...
